Do we need to repurchase the win 10 version of minecraft to get the OR comparability or will it come as an update?

I would like to know how and when we are supposed to get this? I signed up for it a couple of weeks ago. According to the blurb we should have had it within a couple of days. Well Im still waiting nearly 2 weeks later. So Ive followed the steps above to register interest and am satisfied I meet all 4 steps required. What have I missed?

Looks good but I have a couple of questions relating to it.
1> Can it be used to set up a server? If so how?
2> Does it auto sort out any conflicts between mod ids?
If a mod is not on the list can it still be added into a mod pack or do we need to wait for the author to do add it to the list first?

Sep 11, 2014AntonyVW posted a message on Microsoft Buying Minecraft?Microsoft only want it because its a huge success. Minecraft is a multi-platform game - Microsoft are not known for producing games to work on Macs or PS3/4. I doubt that they would start doing so just because of minecrafts success. And talking on that point - how would the good folk at Apple and Sony feel about Microsoft muscling in on their territory?Posted in: News

Ive run a home server for my grandkids for a while but now they want a modpack installed. Although its Linux based its been a case of follow simple instructions on net to install Minecraft (vanilla install). I have Forge installed and ready for Minecraft 1.12.2 So I have a couple of questions.
1. How do I install a modpack onto a Linux server? (In particular SevTech:Ages)
2. Where do I obtain the server modpack from? Ive been searching for it (and other server mods packs) for a week now without success.
3. If I just need to copy the mod folder and config folder over from a client install - how do I know which mods do not need to go onto the server? I'm aware that not all of the mods are server based so how do I tell the difference?
It seems Twitch are unable to help me as their support have said its beyond their scope and have directed me here. Appeals to FTB and other places haven't given any answers either. It seems just about all the help I can find refers to installing onto a hosted server rather than a home server. Also they all seem to assume you already have the server modpack.
Can anyone help please?

I run a small private home server which I would like to add a twitch mudpack to. Ive searched a lot of places but cant seem to find out how. Most of the information seems to be centered around a purchased server rather than a home server. So can anyone tell me a couple of things please?
First off where are the twitch server files (as opposed to the client ones)?
Second. How are they installed onto a Linux server?
Thanks

When using the elevator - is there a way to have the doors to the elevator auto open when the elevator arrives at its destination? You cant use pressure plates so i was wondering if there was any other way of doing it?

I have 2 accounts. One has been upgraded to the Majong account one is still the older type account. As I cannot upgrade the second account as its tied to the same email - how do I change the skin on it? When logging in it asks for email address and wont let me put in the user name instead.
Thanks

I have a couple of ideas and I'm looking to see what the viability of them are. So I'm hoping someone with more knowledge will have some answers and guidance.
Question 1. I think this is possible so I'm hoping someone can tell me how to do it. How do I link 2 separate worlds on a server?
Question 2. I doubt this one is possible but here goes anyway. Is it possible to have 2 separate mod lists? What I mean is the following. I have one server world with mod list A. When I got to a second world from the first (if that's possible) can I somehow load in mod list B without having to reboot both server and client?
I'm guessing the answer to 2 will be no which means finding out what the limit is for the compatibility of the mods for the 2 worlds. If its possible - how?

Thanks for the help. I'm sorted now. those references are very helpful btw. again thanks

I'm having an issue with //schematic. I can import or create my own .schematic file but when I attempt to load and paste it, it pastes just one layer - usually the second layer of the schematic. If I dig down a block it might change that layer to layer 3. If I stand on a block it will load layer 1. If I then remove the block I was standing on it will remove the layer Ive loaded and replace it with layer 2. But apart from this it wont load any other layers and it does not load a complete building. The file does not contain any spaces or characters other than letters.
For info I'm using the forge version of WE with Minecraft 1.10.2. can anyone help me wit what's going wrong please?

Can anyone tell me how I can get the id for a fluid using worldedit please? I know I can assign /info to a tool to get a block id but what about a fluid like crude oil?

can anyone tell me if there is a mod similar to worldguard that works in forge plz?

Thanks for the help. The openGL issue - I looked that up recently. There used to be a line in the config file that you could change its state from true to false or visa-versa. Couldn't find that in my file so wondered if it had now been dropped?
If Optifine is a problem it might explain the issue I have with the resource pack I want to use if I combine that with immersive engineering I may just be able to motivate things again.
Thank you

Ive wanted to use a certain resource pack for some time but have been unable to as it crashes the game with tessellating block model issue. I'm presuming its a clash with a different mod than the one its linked to. So as a result I don't use it. However today I had the same problem with out the resource pack installed. So I am wondering if the mod causing the problem here is the same one causing my other issue. I don't understand the info I'm being given in the crash report so I'm hoping someone can help me decipher it. The crash report Ive just generated is as follows:

Can anyone tell me what mod might be causing the problem (and show me how to identify it please)?
Thanks

Thank you.
Having just built the pc I can see there is already some clean up to do. As I don't use the product I can only assume that it was part of a bundle that came with either the motherboard or graphic card.. Time to check see what else needs clearing out. again thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

Ive just completed building a new pc so started on the long slog of reinstalling everything. When I attempted to install minecraft it appeared as if it had installed correctly but as soon as I attempt tp run the game I get the following error:
Unable to save download. 1.11.json

URL: https://launchermeta.mojang.com/mc/assets/1.11/ea7f56173691250e9805db5e3dda2d65b951ede3/1.11.json
Error details: Attempting to move successful download to C:/Users\avwri\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\assets\indexes/1.11.json
The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process
Filename on disk: 391e-db1a-8504-3db6
Path: C:\Users\avwri\AppData\Local\Temp\391e-db1a-8504-3db6
Exists: file
Can anyone enlighten me as to what has happened and how to correct it please?
the file mentioned above (beginning 391e_ does exist but I have no idea why it would be using a file. Is it just a matter of deleting it ? (is it safe to do so?)
