Hey, anyone know if there is a way to have the default generation from BWG3? I really loved the how the default gen looked in it, with the new villages and the really green swamps. I tried the gen in BWG4 and it has been more "vanilla integrated" if you will. Don't know if that makes much sense, but anyone know of a way to get the BWG3 gen back :P?
I just was on the sky dimension with all the islands, and i went to the end in creative, and my minecraft crashed. It continues to crash everytime i go into the world. HELP!!
Same thing happened to me. The end worked on a normal world, but not on sky dimensions. I am not sure if there is anything you can do about it now. Perhaps try deleting your character data for that world. It is under the .minecraft/saves/[whatever you named your world]/players and delete your [player name].dat file.
Hello everyone! I did even more testing today on generating maps with this generator. I have made six maps which may help you better understand how to generate maps by manually setting the dune parameters.

now let me explain how all of these pictures work. Each map i generated was a 16x16 map. Every screenshot was taken while facing the sun when rising (aka east). What this means is that if you imagine yourself moving forward you will be going down in the z-coordinates (and eventually start going into the negative z-coords). Below I have provided the exact specs i used when manually setting the dune parameters. Note that the order the dune parameters are set are first dune period x, second is dune period z, third is wave period x, fourth is wave period z, fifth is wave magnitude x, and last/sixth is wave magnitude z.
What this shows us is that:
the magnitude most likely corresponds to the tightness of each wave in terms of height. basically, when setting this to a higher number the waves will be higher.
the dune period most likely sets the distance of the oscillations for each connecting wave. basically, when setting this higher it will cause the waves to have a lower frequency and thus appear to be stretched out.
the wave period most likely corresponds to the specific way that the waves curve. basically, when this is set to a higher amount the waves will have a narrower curve.
It's very hard to picture (or guess for that matter) the specifics on generations but from all the tests that I have done it would appear that this gives us the most accurate information about how to generate specific maps to ones liking. I believe that this generator is based off of what we know on how light waves work and was possibly designed off of that. Science FTW :biggrin.gif:
P.S. I forgot to say this in my last post...great generator seibai :biggrin.gif:

[optional]What do you think of the server?: Great server. Needs even more minigames
