Mixed feelings about the golems here.

    Quote from Terashell

Yo you have to nerf the golems they are too strong and really hard to kill

No, they need to stay exactly the same. We just need an option to set the rarity really low (below 1) and they need to not spawn in packs of two or three. Right now it's golemocalypse out there on any setting other than off.

Your config is missing lines for the Items on the floors

You'll be happy to hear i found out what causes the sound-hang problem. Its a single soundfile, golemcharge2.ogg
Deleting it should fix all problems. I dont know why it does that, though.

There will be a new version of BattleTowers (with some goodies) once i get my mcp working again, i somehow broke it.

The second tower collapse sound also seems to cause a sound hang crash. Removing both sounds allowed for success.

There was a scenic "shortie" tower on top of a mountain here. The tower destroyer feature is blind to the total height of the tower.

I'm also pretty sure that the contents of the chests are decided by the floor number counting up from the bottom floor, so a short tower will never have diamonds etc on the top chest. This golem was guarding saplings and flowers. How the towers handle altitude could overall use a little love.

I would also really appreciate an option for occasional creeper spawners in the towers, because I am a masochist and want to die violently over and over again.

If Mojang weren't pants-on-head retarded they would have stolen this concept a long time ago. This is a good mod, and everyone should play it.

posted a message on How can they rely on theories all day long?
    I science everything.

Yes, I just used science as a verb, and you should too because you do it every day. Observe, hypothesize, test, theorize. All (rational) problem solving and discovery will involve those steps.

One might observe that cream cheese makes many things better, and hypothesize that it is a substitute for butter in muffins. So you bake your muffins with cream cheese and you're like holy **** this is awesome so now you have a theory of delicious cream cheese muffins and further evidence for the theory that cream cheese literally makes everything better.

Alternatively, you might be like **** my car doesn't start. Hypothesis: the battery is dead. Observe headlights, do they turn on? If yes, that is evidence that supports the idea that the battery is dead and you are screwed. When the AAA guy arrives you explain your theory of the battery being dead to him, he discusses alternative theories and tests yours, and then jumps your car. Yippee!

You do this without even thinking about it. "Science" as we know it is not some recent creation, but rather a perfection of something people and smart chimps have been doing for a long time.

The absolutes you know and love are the illusion and uncertainty is the reality. Despite initial evidence a tow truck driver might determine that it's not the battery but rather the whole electrical system - our observations are never perfect. Likewise, cream cheese doesn't really go with breakfast cereal. You can derive rules for the world around you and you can form expectations about it, but you can never really know it. See Plato's allegory of the cave for more details.

I'm sure it would be appreciated if this mod would support mod ores.

A boring old .txt file with space for new ores in a blockID-metadata-size-MinHeight-MaxHeight format would be really nifty. That way, you can play vanilla with veins of bookcases in addition to normal ores, or add in weird mod ores, or add in one layer of diamond at the very top of the map and another at the very bottom...

Really, the GUI is nice, but I'm a nerd and I can handle plain text files.

Guys. OP is obviously the Fürher from Fullmetal Alchemist. Don't make fun of his freakish Ultimate Eye; if you had the eye of a God then you too would want to play Minecraft at 1500 FPS.

I also wouldn't make him angry. OP can probably catch a bullet in midair with chopsticks and shove the bullet where the sun don't shine well before your typical sluggish human nervous system can even process what's happening.

This feels like some horrible contraption for some odd reason it disturbs me...

Symbolically it reduces love, sex and family to an industrial-mechanical process and thus illustrates the meaninglessness of life.
