Awesome! It has been fun working on it and I am glad that others are enjoying it. Now just to finish it so I can head south to Arkham.

They just release free full readings of Picture in the House and From Beyond! If you donate $15 you get both seasons sound tracks, 64 tracks in all. Great stuff and a great way to support the podcast.

I have just uploaded a new version of the map. I figured the Nether was a bit boring, so I spiced it up a bit.
Work blocked access to this page, and I am interviewing for new position, so I have been getting tons of sleep. Hopefully production will resume this weekend on my Mod and Map.
Welcome to Innsmouth is now in V2.0.. I know v2.0 is kinda a big jump, but I added the nether, which to me merits it. V3 will prolly be final product, then I'll open it up for contributions. :smile.gif:

On a side note: Dagon is now available on Netflix watch instantly... pretty bad movie over all, but it basically takes place in Innsmouth and it's cool to see the main character sporting a Miskatonic University varsity sweater. :smile.gif:

It's so strange, because when I play my map I feel like it is so small, but your the second person who said they spent over an hour exploring it. Thanks for checking it out!
Quick update. I have done some work on the nether. I will upload a new save tonight.
I really need to get focused and just pound out the rest of the street map over the course of a few days. I love doing the huge buildings, but the small ones are like pulling teeth. Lol.

Incidentally it's a tad disappointing for such a gothic writer. I know he wasn't a wealthy man by the time he died, but you'd have thought his resting place would have been a little more imposing than that. :sad.gif:

I dont think that this has to do with the regularly scheduled updates, but major DLC updates. And, I think that since Notch started off so small, he had to do this to allow himself great marketing and freedom to control his own content and sales.

The lava was a bit weird at first, but after I got used to it I grew to love it. :biggrin.gif: Gives my map a very surreal, dreamlike feel to it. I realized last night right as I was shutting down my computer that I havent been to the nether yet using this TP. I cant wait to check it out.

My idea for the Dark Tower would just be the field of roses and the tower itself. Basically the dark tower would sit in a crater,filled with roses, that went from sea level to bedrock, and then do it to sky level, and perhaps beyond with the y-axis mod. The Paths of the Beams would be an insane undertaking. But there are soo many landscapes in that series that it would take years.. I mean.. Tull, N.C. Positronics labs, Sombra Corp building, Jakes Haunted Mansion, Darrey, the wastelands... Topeka... Mejas... *goes on and on and on*

Lol, thanks! Right now it is a solo project. I am hoping to have it completed by end of May at the Very very latest... then on to.. a Dark Tower Themed Map. Been wanting to do that for a while, but I'm still having fun with this project. Once i reach a point where all the streets are mapped out and mansions finished (yeah, big boss Marsh had a huge mansion) I think I might open it up for contributions. I am using this map as a guide: Innsmouth (added to OP)
If I get really really ambitious, I know that Arkham is about 20 miles to the south of Innsmouth... *Evil Grin*

I want the curvature to be really blatantly obvious, but no matter what I do it still looks the same as before. I changed the float radius to 9000 and the radius squared to 81000000, and it still looks like the default curvature. Any help is appreciated!
The lower the number, the more pronounced the curvature is.

Try setting FLAT_RADIUS to 12 and WORLD_RADIUS to 14. Prolly not the effect your looking for, but play around with the values until you get acceptable results.
Also, after every change, run the installer again.
Mar 17, 2011I am glad you liked the map! I started with an idea in mind, and after I built the Marsh Office building I kind of started experiementing with shapes and structures. The Lighthouse and the EOD I tried to make look like anicient alien architecture.Posted in: Maps
