Which one of these stone textures do you guys think is better?
P.S. Seradicus I am going to do the things you told me to do with your advice (I had tried at first to make the top of the dirt less saturated but the hues just didn't match since when I made the texture I used two different types of browns the tops weren't just saturated versions of the lower part of the texture, so I'll continue to work on that.
The reason why I told Luigi to shoot everyone except me is because ALL OF YOU KEEP ON NOT LIKING MY TEXTURE PACKS and not creating what I want. And you guys are dead except for the whole CraftedMovie crew and SkyDoeMinecraft and Sethbling.
1. We don't "like" your texture packs is because your only one you've posted is from a year ago, and is quite awful to simply put it.
2.
You bumped your thread after 9 months. That is a long time, you should of just let it rest in the deepest darkest depths of Texture Discussion.
3. You are acting way too much like a little child except always in a tantrum.
4. We aren't creating anything.
5. You could easily make a VVVVVV Texture Pack yourself, that games style is barely any different colors so you could easily do it yourself even though you are bad at making texture packs.
6. The CraftedMovie crew, SkyDoesMinecraft, and Sethbling wouldn't make the texture packs you want for you.
7. I highly doubt you'll ever kill any of us, but have a nice day.
6) Don't request texture packs
That's right, don't do that. They take way too much time for anyone to just make one for your map or server, and as such nobody will do these. And even if they do, it might take months.
If you really have to request a texture pack, do so in a "Looking for ideas" thread instead of starting a new one. It's a match made in heaven - You want a TP, they want ideas for one. This works both ways of course.
Thanks Alvoria!
@Anli
I don't like how the sidegrass has it's dirt get more saturated. It looks off.
You're kinda right, I think I'll make a version where the dirt doesn't get more saturated as it goes up (or I might make it all the same saturation as the top. Do you think I should make the dark breaks between the light areas in the dirt/grass lighter or do you think the levels are okay other than the saturation?
Recently I've decided to try more styles at textures and I've been starting on an RPG-Esque Texture Pack.
I feel like I made a few of the pixels a little too dark on the dirt and grass but other than that I am pleased with my work, it tiles pretty well so I can take some pride from that, but I noticed at least three pixel that are off. On the dirt I have two pixels that are unnecessary for the darker layer of the texture, and then on the grass I missed a pixel so there is a diagonal line of four pixels that I need to add a pixel so it isn't as noticeable. I believe I might need to make the texture a little brighter. I'm experimenting a little bit with flowers, I just don't know a good medium color so they look okay in different biomes, since the original color looked fine in a forest, but appeared too bright on a mountain side (and vise versa with this). If only flowers had foliage colors that matched each biome.
I also don't think it was made for the kind of art I make, which is pixel art, with how it tries to blur everything.
Are you referring to when you resize your image and/or your canvas size and also if you use the "Move Selected Pixels (M)" tool? As I know those make it blurry but I make my pixel art in Paint.NET by making the picture at just a small scale that's usally a 50x50 workspace then I resize it with the "nearest neighbor" option and it doesn't result in a blur, but I can give you that it does try to blur everything, but I feel like it does a better job than many programs when it comes to pixel art. (I made my profile picture pixel art in Paint.NET and it looks pretty sharp, but I did have to select the "Nearest Neighbor" drop down option and when I rotated it I had to hold down my mouse, cut the selection and then paste the selection (I found this keeps the turned pixels to keep their original non-blurred look it can be a tedious process but I learned to live with it))
I actually prefer Paint.NET because of the simplicity (it may just be from using MS Paint back in the day and liking the small link to it) when it comes to making a texture pack. Since they are both free I think you should just try them both and see your preference, you're mindset isn't the same as my mindset, zamaj's mindset, or any others. Peytonisgreat is right, the program doesn't make the textures, you do.
For texture packs, just download a texture pack then move the .rar file into the texture pack folder (forgot the name) in .minecraft then start up the game and:
To go more in depth on this:
1. You'll need to use either Link Removed or Optifine. (Optifine most likely will make your game feel smoother as it'll make your game have more frames per second)
2. The folder is called "texturepacks"
Edit: You only need MCPatcher and Optifine for an HD Texture Pack.
I'd like to know what you guys would do as a friend of mine (who is also the owner of a server) was asked by a new player on the server if he could get a diamond sword. He didn't give it to him and he threatened to DDoS the server, I know he wouldn't because almost all DDoS claims never actually happen. I just want to know, if you guys would do if somebody asked since I bet him that almost every person would say 'no'.
The answer is short: Creeper cats don't exist in vanilla minecraft. I assume some mod your server uses has added these *creeper cats*. hence my suggestion is, go to the relevant mod thread and ask there.
If you say *I don't use mods* check wich serverplugin you use & check if it adds soemthing like that & ask in their relevant thread/forum.
If you say *I don't use server plugins* you're a troll. If my post comes off as direct, my apologies, but everyday people claim they've seen things that simply can't even exist in vanilla Minecraft or it's snapshots.
I was just joking and talking about the "Cat Cannon" WorldEdit power.
