I've been thinking about trying this challenge for several years now, and I finally started a world for it back in December. About four and a half months of intermittent play later, I have completed the wood age.

I'm making a point to fix a lot of old problems and get a lot of the blocks to match better so that it's easier to choose colors to build with. To this end there are a LOT of blocks that are getting changed in the 1.11 update. I've felt I needed to do this for a long time, and I figured that I should see to it before I added sixteen colors of Shulker Box AND sixteen different Llama blankets to the pack to compound the problem further.
So in addition to changing the hue of a lot of the wool and hardened clay blocks, I'm also taking this time to address a few blocks that were in desperate need of revision. For example, the horrible Lapis Block texture I used to have. Right now, I've got three NEW versions I think are pretty good. Check them out, and please let me know which one you prefer:

Feedback is appreciated... and required since I really need to know which of these people like better. :D
Thank you all in advance. ^_^

I would say 3, since it has the most of that deep blue (as Lapis should be) in it.

Season's Greetings! :D Instead of doing what I'm supposed to be doing and updating this pack to 1.11 like a good little resource pack artist, I've instead been working on getting the Christmas Add-on Pack up to 1.10. So far I haven't made much progress, but I'm made a Christmas-y crafting table! Take a look!
Let me know what you think as feedback is always appreciated. Also, tell me what you'd like me to add some Christmas cheer to next! :D

This looks kind of messy to me. The wreaths, candy canes, and gold all together seem like too much detail for one 16x block, unless you were going for a kind of overdone (way too many decorations) aesthetic, in which case it looks great.

Continuing my work on the Christmas add-on pack. I'll start publishing these updates when I know someone actually cares enough to download it. :P
Self-depricating humor out of the way, today I made the potions into Hot Cocoa:

From left to right, these are normal, splash, and lingering potions. The mug changes color instead of the liquid because I think it looks cooler. ;)
Let me know what you think. Feedback is always appreciated. :D

These are great. I want them in-game right now.

This is all I have. I probably won't finish this, because it's not particularly good. I am very rusty, and it shows.

There's a discussion on reddit with a guy from PMC and Curse on what they should do about adfly. Ban, not ban, something inbetween.

Also, anybody getting any value from patreon as a resource pack creator? Anybody aware of someone doing it well?

The ZigZag Patreon is currently at $76 per month, but they post weekly updates on Twitter, so that's a bit different than most people here. https://www.patreon.com/Jamizzle?ty=h

    Welcome to the Dead Lands
This entry isn't finished, but I wanted to post progress if for no other reason than to get some feedback and motivate myself to actually finish this silly thing! :P Thus far I've completed ten block textures (dirt, grass, tall grass, dandelion, rose bush, oak log, oak leaves, birch log, and birch leaves) and zero mob textures. Hopefully I can get five more blocks and three mobs finished before Friday.

Because I'm doing this in the same general style as "Sanity" I think this is eventually going to morph into a Halloween add-on pack for that pack. The way I'm headed, though, It'll almost be a complete retooling of the regular version. :P Don't worry, though. Absolutely nothing in this contest entry is taken from my existing work. It's 100% original made for this contest. :D

Feedback is appreciated, though looking at the unsettling screenshot and telling me I need psychiatric help is not really useful in improving my art. ;)
You need psychiatric help. ;P In all seriousness, though, I like it. I'm not too sure about the green in the grass, although it is growing on me.

    Reworked cobblestone again:

I said I wouldn't... but I finally noticed what was bugging me about the last version, so here it is again. :P

At this point I just assume that you'll redo your cobble about once per month. This might be my favorite version yet.

    More Ornaments!

It may not be the update you asked for on your Christmas wishlist, but you have to admit that it's still better than getting socks. ;) :P

As promised, all of the dyes are now single-color ornaments of some description. Mostly just the cliche shiny spheres with which to decorate things. I also made Ghast Tears into icicles, though, since I know those are really popular these days. I hope you all enjoy these additions. ^_^

Sadly it doesn't look like I'll be getting this finished before Christmas on account of that event only being a week away now. There was a series of family crises over the last couple of weeks that prevented me from working on it... or at least being in any sort of mood to do anything artistic. It's all settle for the moment, though, so I'm going to try to get an update done for this every day or so even if it's just something minor. That'll leave plenty of room for me to pick this up again next year, though, for anyone that'll still be playing Minecraft in 2016. ^_^

Feedback is GREATLY appreciated, and would really help to lift my low spirits this Christmas season. Thank you!
    [/center]
I love it! However, the shape of the purple ornament all the way to the right looks kind of weird, and I'm not sure what it's supposed to be.
