All I see is another request that we eventually be able to travel into space via some convoluted system with no ties to the current Minecraft world. And once again, actually arriving in space gives you nothing different - it just allows you to go to other worlds that are just the same as the one you left.
I'd rather just be able to build portals to those other players' worlds directly. Like is currently planned by Mojang last I heard.

Luckily you don't have to throw it at things to summon your pet out of it, so let's call them kennels for now =P
May 4, 2011I miss when griefers grew up learning the skills needed to train dangerous mobs places just using knowledge of aggro range to draw them along...damn youngins today just want that creeper squad given to them instead.Posted in: Suggestions
May 4, 2011Posted in: SuggestionsQuote from MBArceus »How about you can use your staff to round your captured animals?
That is kinda the point of the staff having a right-click function that knocks animals back without causing damage to them.
May 4, 2011How about just something similar to snow or grass? Pretty much just a texture that gets applied to the top of blocks which receive a certain amount of foot traffic from players, to make the blocks you are walking on look worn down and show the path you usually take. Maybe cause the texture to replace grass so you can see the dirt trail if you aren't using stone or something else. Then if desired you could apply a small speed boost to walking along those blocks.Posted in: Suggestions
This way pretty much any block could be used for a road, but to get the speed boost it would have to actually be a road you use enough to get this "well traveled" state applied to it.
May 4, 2011The void is there because it is the area beyond the limits of the current world generation engine. If something could be easily placed beyond those limits so that you could just drop down into it, then the void would not be there because the world generator would simply be expanded to generate more layers down to whatever the new limit was.Posted in: Suggestions
So building a new world under the current bedrock is pointless, because the efforts required to make it possible would be better used simply increasing the current world height/depth to fill the same space.

My way of doing it would simply have a transmitter and receiver to transmit the circuits a long distance. This would allow you to create a complex circuit away from where you need it, and than transmit it to the building you need it. This allows it all to be compressed.
I don't really consider wireless transmission of redstone the same as compressing redstone circuits...besides, transmitting/receiving redstone currents in a game or server with loads of different redstone circuits laid around would require a more involved system of differentiating each signal from the others - something that would probably quickly drive the idea into being too advanced and/or complicated.

Sounds like a good starting point to me.
May 3, 2011Posted in: SuggestionsQuote from wyvernus »awesome idea but could it capture hostile mobs too? it would make it easier for raiding enemy bases on servers
all you would have to do is capture a creeper & place it at the wall
perhaps the mob could still be hostile towards you?
I said spiders *maybe* just because they are neutral for part of the time and might be a fun dangerous pet/farm animal...but other hostile mobs, No. If you want to flood an enemy base with Creepers, you gotta find them yourself and train them there. Old school style.
May 2, 2011Seems like a fun idea...but the ways you currently suggest to do it seem way too easy to do. I'd rather it take something slightly more complicated than just some buckets of water or flint/steel to play god on the world below.Posted in: Suggestions

Heh, still not sold on it yet eh?
May 2, 2011I usually play on a buddy's server, which isn't open to the public, but if anybody plays on a larger server and wants to experiment with the idea I'd love to see how it works with larger teams =P I haven't been able to try it with more than 2-3 people on a team...not quite enough for league play. May 2, 2011Posted in: SuggestionsQuote from Ygdrasel »...Pig polo?
Build an arena, put wooden pressure plates surrounded by fences at either end (or just one in the middle), then connect the plate to a redstone torch, have everybody mount up...and then see who can toss whatever item you chose as a "ball" onto the pressure plate to activate the torch and score a point.
The pigs being in control increase the challenge by a good bit
