Anyway, a tutorial system? Back in my day (loljks) there were suggestion threads about a Herobrine tutorial mob that will provide you company for the first little bit... or a custom made map to explain gameplay. Those ideas were scrapped after awhile but before release there has to be a tutorial system...
Minecraft needs more crafting benches. Updates lately suggest a more adventurous type of game play and a more in depth crafting system. The old crafting bench needs work if it is to fit in with something like the potion crafting system.
Ehh that's what the potion stand is for...
Whenever Notch makes a new item type and it requires a certain method of crafting he refers to the crafting bench, if it is a little out of whack he will create a new crafting method such as the potion stand. Overall, he would need reason to re work the current system as it would require more coding and item types which will have to be written into the game.
haha, interesting...but at the same time, I can't imagine actually running redstone 500+ blocks to another teleporter.
Yes but remember good sir/ma'am that we do not want to over power such a system and also that redstone would be the limitation to such a system so it will prove difficult to a nub who someone got his hands on a pair of teleporters.
I can understand the spider argument. The rest of what you are saying differs from the original post. Wolves maybe attracted to it too.
Okay if you didn't read:
Actually attracted to the block and deal damage to the block:
- Wolves
- Zombies
- Spiders
Think of block as a normal block:
- Endermen (randomly pick it up)
- Creeper (they will hang around it but not be lured away if they have their eyes set on a human)
- Skeleton probably (if it sees it first it will shoot at it)
What the heck are you talking about I never even said I didn't like the idea. Your the one that started it by saying rotten flesh doesn't have a good use. I've been merely defending the use that it has.
I take "Meh" as a neutral statement.
I never actually listed benefits or disadvantages of it but merely said that we should have more uses.
Old: LOLOL MY DIET IS BACON BEEF CHICKEN AND BREAD AND CAKE IM SO HEALTHLY LALALAALA
If this is AT LEAST made into a mod: I have a healthy diet of scrambled eggs for breakfast, fruit salad as a light snack, sandwiches for lunch, and for dinner a nice steak. Sometimes for dessert I have a slice of chocolate pie or chocolate cake. I sometimes just have a chicken pie though.
Dude, we don't need to eat 2 fruits 5 vegies a day in Minecraft... Infact we need more methods of obtaining food from the environment instead of obtaining food via cooking other food...
We need like berries, fruit, uses for milk, even water...
What if we had to use redstone to connect the teleporters, it will get rid of overpowering teleporting between locations and allow for another use to redstone.
The wolves can't benefit there computers. P_P If you choose to heal it makes it so they can help you in battle. I see that as a benefit for you.
You are defending the single use for an item under of the basis that YOU don't need it and would prefer to use YOUR rotten flesh to heal YOUR wolves.
Remember that other players may see this as an item that they will use for traps or methods of redirecting enemies in the future.
Now sir, I do not wish to hold up this thread with argument over personal usage, this is my suggestion and your original comment was "Meh, why not" so I will keep it as such.
Just because you don't like the feature doesn't mean every thing has to have a use besides for you don't like.
If some one doesn't like cutting trees should axes get another use?
It is not because I do not like it, if I did not like it I would have created a mod for it and merely kept it for myself. No, it is another option that allows players to benefit themselves from the item instead of just their wolves. And for your example, you were suggesting that I was going to make a massive change to game play as the axe is currently one of the four main tools used in game and would probably overpower it if given another use (hamaxe from terreria... *shivers*).
I do not find wolves useful as they have bad A.I and have trouble keeping up when going deep into the mines.
Also, my town is currently set in a ravine which requires delicate stepping to get down and up, the wolves always seem to fall down a die (purposely made the design to get a random creeper or skeleton to fall and drop goodies).

That is a warnable offence...

Be a man.
Get food poisoning.
No but seriously it doesn't mean that option still isn't available... it just allows us to have more uses :biggrin.gif:

I am glad you like the idea.

Reminds me a sh*tload of terraria...

Thanks. Yeah that's what I meant, flesh is easy to obtain so we need some more uses.

It isn't the best of pics... but I get what you are saying.
You should try get firehazurd to make a mock up of your mob, he is the leading mob designer on the suggestion forums.
