    The only problem with what you guys are suggesting for the lich and other transformations is that emoniph wishes to keep the use of flashy magic (As you see in thaumcraft or airs magica) out of this mod, or to the greatest extent possible.

    This means no mages, no light magic, and so on.

    I agree with this, It doesn't need to be a cheap object but something does need to be implemented.


    I'm getting tired of the, "well why did you become a vampire?" comments. Why? Simple, because i wanted to play the freaking mod. There should not be a punishment for wanting to play someones mod. All of the other solutions I have seen completely destroy my point. So, lets get this straight.

    Scenario 1:

    I am a vampire, I want terrasteel armour from botania. How do I achieve this? Well, for one I have to create dayblooms that have a direct view of the sunlight. Well, oops, there goes that option. I can't go in the sunlight.


    Scenario 2:

    I want to complete a rite from circle magic and I need a high powered alter. Best way to get that? Being outside and surrounded by nature. How am I supposed to achieve that if I can't be in sunlight. I sure as heck am not standing outside with the creepers at night to do it.


    I don't see why a mod would contradict itself the way this one does. "Oh, you should check out this new vampire feature! But beware if you do, it will become nearly impossible for you to do anything else within the mod" or in my case, any mod.

    I feel that the suppression option is a bit too much. The simplest and best solution thus far is, a hard to make item that lowers the effects of being in the sun. Simple. Quick. Lifesaving. Every other idea isn't a solution to anything. It fixes a small problem out of everything.


    Another option that was just presented by my friend; Have a separate meter from the blood meter that depletes while you are in the sun. When the meter falls empty you lose your vampire powers. This way you can quickly get to places without too big of a penalty. In order to regain that meter you have to be in darkness for a quite long period of time. This way completely fixes everything. If you want to keep your powers get in and out quickly. If you don't care about the powers and just want to hang out in the sun, you can.



    Its a OPTION of the mod. Vampirism is a choice, not a crucial part of the mod. You trade daytime for near immortality and all of the other abilitys that come with it. If you dont like it, be a werewolf.

    With the abilitys of the vampire, no daylight is a very good balance.


    Perhaps you would like to sparkle in the daylight instead?


    EDIT: Btw, plant dayblooms outside in night, they will grow during the day, then harvest another night.

    As for the village gen, im glad its going to be disable-able because alot of mods mess with vanilla villages, and they very often conflict.

    i currently run a server with witchery. I will add this to the server when a playable version comes out. Will this village gen be separate from vanilla, as to prevent conflicts? Can we be a creeper dragon? I would love that.


    Also letting other players fly on my back will be a must. <3

    >P.s.= I am damn good at breaking things in game, its honestly a gift. if u need a tester just let me know.

    I actually thought of more ideas.


    Stores souls from slain mobs/players (Vary in strength, obviously a pig would be nothing compared to a player, can store more as you level up, eat them for buffs relater to the owner of the soul)
    Uses souls to do their bidding (Low level would only be able to summon shadows/shades, weak, fast, follows the lich and can be commanded to do things at a longer distance than necromancers stone)
    This would grow in power as level up, start being able to bind spirits to armor, etc.
    Can store cadavers at level 5. (Dead body, only can hold 1 at level five, 2 at ten. Used to bind spirits to them, can be outfitted much like a horse with armor and weapons)
    Can give shades/bound necromatic slaves tag-locks and they will hunt that player down.
    can be issued other orders like to defend a area, follow you, etc.
    Your undead, so no eating, breathing. all undead ignore. Weak to fire (Dead skin burns), when u die u consume a soul to stay alive (Effectively immortal if you have souls.)
    Can hover (Uses infusion power [f you have any] to slowly "fly" up to a certain height)
    Can use souls to "haunt" a player, uses a tag-lock of target player, (With a item lich-y in nature) a soul, and a ingredient depending on what hex you wish to do to hex a player. Essentially a weaker (Grows in power and duration depending on the lich's level and strength of the soul used.) version of a curse, that does not last indefinitely.

    For offence can attempt to rip souls from bodys, either insta killing weak mobs, not effecting undead, being partly resisted and damage still being taken, or shrugged off. (shrugging off can be a % chance from a lich hunter armor?)

    They Look funny as hell. but then again, makes them obvious for vampire hunters.

If you had the silver weakness in human form, you'd be pathetic against anyone using silver weapons because you would have no time to change form or way of escape. There would be no real defense.

    Would always be cool to have some slight buffs out of forms (As you still have the blood of a wolf) such as being able to eat raw food with no problems, slightly more speed, ect
