The modpack is ready to roll. I'm still trying to get a modded server setup. I haven't been working on that as much as I should due to IRL priorities that come first. I should have the actual server setup this weekend and have the server released to the public by next week, or even earlier if I get some time to do so.
I updated my server from 1.7.2 to 1.7.9 but my plugins stopped working. What happened?
This might be (in part of) because of how Mojang has switched to UUIDs, so players can change their names. And some plugins are not compatible with 1.7.9, but are with lower versions.
Is this position paid for? What do the builders get for building?
When we get donations, they will be split among the staff*. Although, if you are only in for the money and nothing else. Then I recommend that you don't apply. Because you won't be making any kind of sustainable income....**
*- And possibly our host provider, it all depends if they pay attention to us or not....
**- AKA - No, you won't be paid on a regular basis. This is a volunteer position...
Hello there! I'm AnUnknownMiner, the Administrator representing The Orc House, a sponsored server that is currently looking for builders that are ready to let their imaginations run wild!
Why do you need Builders?
We are currently moving from the traditional Survival and Creative type of server, to custom minigames. So a lot of building is needed!
What kind of Builders are you looking for?
We are looking for Builders that can complete their selected list of tasks that are building related and make deadlines. While exceptions can be made. They have a price to them, so accountability and responsibility play in as well.
Awesome! Where to I apply?
To keep users (You!) from being discouraged from applying, we ask that you either apply on our website (The best way!), or to send a PM to me with your application (Not the best way!).
The Application for PM users:
What is your IGN?:
What is your Skype username?*:
What times are best for you?:
Why do you want to become a Builder?:
What prior experience have you had?:
Please link past work here**:
Is there anything else that we should know about?:
* - Required, or else you'll automatically be rejected.
** - Still required, but please use Imgur.
So, I don't know how often fellow server Owners and Admins look at Bukkit's file size. But it's becoming 20+ MB, conpared to the 14 MB it was during 1.6.4. That was only because libraries being added and such.
The problem I've seen with this is that it's requiring more RAM to operate on. For example, I could run a 2 GB server on 1.6.4 just fine, I have to add more RAM just keep slots in.
@ECHO OFF
java -Xmx1024M -jar bukkit.jar -o true
PAUSE
The code above will give you 1 GB of RAM to your server, if it doesn't work. Then it might be because you don't have a 64-bit version of Java. Which I recommend you get instead.
Everyone has lives out of MCF. That would be saying I don't spend time with my family, don't eat, don't... I don't know. And of course we aren't robots. I also try not to seem impatient. because I agree that patience is a virtue. I spend my free time on MCF or Minecraft or the book I'm working on, stuff like that. Because I spend my free time, I don't always stay on MCF or stuff like that. I do other things. But I also kinda agree with you.
Edit: Sorry if I was rude, I tried not to.
I think you misunderstood what I said. MCF is their job, they are responsible for maintaining and keeping it running. Unlike them, I have to attend school, work at my job, talk with family, etc. And I don't always have time to moderate MCF.

It is, you'd have to give it to them the next time they're online though. Which is possible through the PlayerJoinEvent Handler in Bukkit.
