posted a message on DEEPER! -More ocean and mining depth
A while back I attempted to present this idea and it was shot down. I came up with it for all the wrong reasons. So this topic is me giving this idea a second chance. I hope you'll do the same.

Simply put, I would like to see the world height limit doubled.

But, I do not want more room for building up. Hypothetically if the build limit were raised to 500 blocks then I think Sea Level (normally height level 63 if I'm not mistaken) should be raised to 175. And apart from ravines, this would also be the average height level of the lowest point of "ground level". This would mean that to hit bedrock a player would have to dig straight down a little less than two hundred blocks.

This idea is very simple and wouldn't change alot about Minecraft. But it would open up alot of doors.
1). One would be able to remain in one mining area longer than normal before a chunk or group of chunks are depleted of ores.
2). This would leave more room in the oceans for any possible oceanic updates or for players daring enough to build a base on the sea floor.
3). You could hide deep underground on multiplayer servers.
4). VERY HYPOTHETICALLY this would allow for room for more ores (I say very hypothetically because there is no promise of new ores coming to the overworld in Minecraft).
5). More of a challenge to get to ores like redstone and diamond.
6). More room for caves, mineshafts, dungeons, and strongholds.
7). More room for monsters to spawn.
8). X-rayers would have a harder time finding diamonds from the surface (hopefully).
9). Room for vast ravines, mountain ranges, coral reefs, and underwater ruins in the oceans.

posted a message on Dispensers Suggestion
I would settle for allowing dispeners to be placed like wooden logs; facing away from the block they were directly placed on/against and towards the player. I can definitely see how dispensers facing down from the celiing would make some incredible traps.

posted a message on One simple armor enchantment - "Magic boost"
DISCLAIMER : Do not report me for not posting this in an "official enchantment suggestions thread". If I ever had my own mob idea I wouldn't post it in a "official mob suggestion thread" and the same goes for any other thread. I don't normally like other peoples enchantments because they tend to be unbalanced and cliche. This is my own personal idea though I've been considering it for quite some time.

SIMPLY PUT : The enchantment is known as "Magic Boost". Its function is to prolong postive potion effects that the user currently has and lessens the time of harmful potion effects. Magic Boost will also lengthen ethe effects of any buffs granted from a beacon. This enchantment is meant to encourage the use of potions in Minecraft as well as make the use of potions more rewarding.

TIER ONE : The first tier of the enchantment adds fifteen seconds to positive potion effects (positive potion effects also include effects taken on from a beacon block) and takes away one second from negative potion effects (negative potion effects also include being poisoned by cave spiders and the "Wither" effect etc.).

TIER TWO : The second tier of the enchantment adds twenty five seconds to positive potion effects and takes away five seconds from negative potion effects. As a bonus for the second tier (and the third tier) armor will also become invisible if the user has taken on the effects of an invisibility potion. Tier one will still render the armor visible.

TIER THREE : The third and final tier of the enchantment adds thirty five seconds to positive potion effects and takes away ten seconds from negative potion effects (or just completely prevents negative potion effects that would not last longer than ten seconds).

BALANCING : The "Magic Boost" enchantment is for the chest plate armor piece only and cannot be enchanted along with Fire protection, Blast protection, or Projectile Protection. But it may be paired with any other armor enchantment.

    Quote from Gameguy602

I feel the name could be changed to Amplification or something about alchemy, but otherwise it's pretty good.

I am open to name suggestions for the enchantment. Comment below any idea of yours.

Here is the code for the banner if you would like to support my idea.

posted a message on The Official Achievement Suggestions Thread
This is the worst thread I have ever seen. Damage to the player and wasting resources will NEVER be an achievment. The achievment system in Minecraft is meant more as a guide for beginners.

posted a message on The cost to use the anvil is too high!
This is more of a rant than a suggestion. But I completely agree. An anvil can sadly be gone in three uses. Its more efficient to just make more tools with the iron.

Thirty three iron to make one anvil that could be one third of the way through its life on its first use? Thats ridiculous.

One Diamond to fix one quarter of any diamond tool.

    Think about that.

A sword only has two diamonds in the crafting recipe.

Yet it takes four to fully repair it.

I personally think that is unfair. But you can be the judge of that.

posted a message on New mob: Miner
To be honest, I thought this would be one of "those posts".

Its not. You've done very well. And I would never say no to the extra help in a mineshaft.

    Good job.

You should never ever make your first post in the suggestions forum. Thats an incredibly awful way to start off.

Personally I think this is a little TOO realistic.

posted a message on Giving your wolf a bone will make it patrol/guard the area
If you right click your wolf with a bone it will kill any hostile neutral or passive mob that enters the sixteen block radius around where you fed your wolf a bone.

The wolf would not follow you or sit around. It would wander in that are a without any pattern.

Any idling wolves of yours would assist the wolf you commanded to guard, but only when it is fighting a hostile monster.
