I always end up avoiding building the specialized buildings, I personally love building the houses though they are generally easier to build because you just have to put a few variations on the basic model and they always look great in a town!

Hey guys everything looks fantastic. I'll be working on this some more once I get back from vacation (shortly after the fourth of July) I will be checking in rather frequently on the forums though and keeping up to date
Haven't done the interior yet and we're going to be using google docs. Saves tons of time trying to use these crappy forums to post things. They're easy to edit and view and organize so it sounds like a plan to me
That is one thing that my new challenge will hopefully take care of and that is editing a post. The plan is to make a folder in google docs that is public to all so once I move a challenge in there it should be able to be seen by anyone. That will completely remove having to edit a post on a thread. Google docs are very simple to edit and more than one people can edit it at the same time which I'm hoping will streamline our efforts.

I've been doing some thinking and it seems to me what Warlock is creating is more of a "challenge" and what I've begun seems like more of a "guide". Mine isn't necessarily difficult to complete, but the outcome will be a nice city. Warlocks is very difficult to complete and still makes a great city. Anyways I believe there are two great ideas here and I don't want to see either to go to waste. Maybe having a choice will be good for the community.
I am a very friendly person who would love to join the early stages of your community to help make it even more friendly. I also really want to check out that custom generation you mentioned, it looks amazing in the screenshot. Anyways I'd love to be able to help out around the server with anything you might need.
This server seems like it has a really good thing going for it. It's refreshing to see a server without all those plugins and that are pay to win.
Honestly it's so hard to find a decent community these days on a good server so I truly hope to be able to play some straight up survival with you guys.

Why choose me? I'm looking for a friendly server to be able to survive and build on. I love building big beautiful additions to servers. I also like playing on newer servers rather than old servers, as there is a lot more room near spawn
Every week beginning and ending on Monday will be a contest in which participants are to submit a build based on a predetermined topic. Submissions will be reviewed and a winner will be chosen. Anyone and everyone is encouraged to join. For the time being any form of submission will be acceptable. Pictures, videos, map downloads, as long as the build can be viewed it can be submitted.
Submissions will be judged based on detail, creativity, and how well they relate to the topic.
SIZE DOES NOT MATTER
This means even if a build may be small it can still be the best build. Detail and creativity are infinitely more important than size.
This contest is made to cultivate community competition and improve anyone's building talent. Feel free to share building tips and ideas and to use these builds as inspiration for your own.

Please bear with me for the first few weeks of this as this is a new idea and will take some revising to get it running smoothly. As this is a fresh idea, be prepared for things to change and for a small community to begin with. I remember you Jinx! Anyways, yeah the whole post got ruined when they came out with the new forum style.... (Which is annoying) And we aren't going to bother fixing it until we update the entire thing with the new challenges
