Translation: Mojang is a bunch of rude, immature monkeys and apparently they want to turn us into evil Nazi-Slaves.
Now, I must say I have to disagree with you, Good Sir. In what way is Mojang deceiving us? Since when have they claimed to be God, as you so imply?
Also, I find it very ironic that you bring up the "attack the idea, not the person" point. Are you not the one blatantly attacking Mojang? Hypocrisy, much?Translation: Mojang is a bunch of rude, immature monkeys and apparently they want to turn us into evil Nazi-Slaves.

VileAssassin posted a message on My complaint about MojangDon't even bother trying to decipher the OP. His post doesn't backup a thesis or main point and it seems incoherent at times despite the OP trying to make some form of a point. Basically he's saying a lot of things with little meaning to what he is saying.Posted in: 1.1 Update Discussion -

Shaders are a graphical alteration, so probably...
Altoid, please don't ruin people's honest questions when they visibly said that they didn't know where to post it. At least post a link!
They could have bothered looking to see where to post it. It plainly is not a suggestion, after all... -

Well I wasn't there for that, and this was all brought around on account you can now use creative mode to enchant without needing any Xp. Thus, I started making my first 40-50 lvl enchants ever. And did not know you could get so many max lvl enchants onto an item at once like that.
Please stop posting
Please leave this thread to die, im so ashamed of you and myself, of you because you keep bringing this up , and myself because unfortunately i have to post to let you know this thread is just spam, its known for weeks and you are just bragging...
Please, let this thread die. -

So this is a useless bragging thread, almost as useless as a "I found a feature that's been around since 1.0!" thread.Quote from NeferiusX
You sir, are a major downer! I created this, because I read tens of threads saying enchantments were to hard to get, and I got all high end enchants with unlimited arrows my first try.

-Quickdraw: makes bows charge up faster, 3 levels
-Fortune: now affects axes (get more books from destroying a bookshelf), shovels will get increased clay drops
-Fire Aspect: now affects shovels (makes sand into glass instantly) and pickaxes (makes iron ore and gold ore into ingots instantly)
-Leaching (need a better name):Increased XP drops from killed mobs, cannot coexist with looting
-Unbreaking: can now be used on swords, armor, and hoes
-Bountiful Harvest: if you break wheat or a melon with a hoe, you have a good chance to get more loot out of it than normal
-Overcharge: allows bows to be charged even longer for even higher damage, cannot co-exist with Quickdraw
-Vengeance: armor enchantment, enemies who hit you in melee will get knocked back and receive a small amount of damage based on the level, 3 levels
-Walk on water: boots enchantment, allows the user to sprint across water at the cost of durability drained per second, extremely rare

Pigmen would have also made more sense due to the existence of Zombie Pigmen in the Nether.

I would like more ores, but not in the Nether. Can you really imagine mining around in a completely red mine? It would be ugly and pitifully boring. The Nether isn't a sit-around-and-mine dimension, it's a get-up-and-fight type. So, if there were new materials in the Nether, they would have to drop from mobs or appear in chests in Nether Ruins. New mineable ores are for the Overworld.
EDIT: Here is my template for a "stimulus" to the Overworld's ores:
1. A new tool/armor ore (most likely between iron/diamond).
2. A new cosmetic ore (example = lapis).
3. A new utility ore (example = redstone).
EDIT2: I guess a new Nether material could be something like "blood diamonds." These would have the same durability as Overworld diamonds, but tools/armor made of them would be red (extremely badass) and they would have a very high enchantability. And like I said above, they would be found in chests in Nether Ruins. There would also be other rare goodies in those ruins such as rare weapons, xp bottles, golden items (nuggets, ingots, armor, tools), and/or brewing ingredients.

I've seen a lot of people propose a close-range, high-damage, slow-reloading, highly-inaccurate version of firearms. And as I said before, the bow covers a very huge spectrum of combat styles, meaning that making a gun that is not under/overpowered would be very difficult.
One possible solution I came up with is that the gun would have the same durability of the bow, same damage, same range, same charge-up, etc. Basically it would just be a cooler-looking version of the bow. It wouldn't be any better than the bow, so that eliminates overpoweredness. That being said, I would much rather have a new weapon that has a unique purpose instead of a cosmetic reskin.

That being said, I can't help but die a little inside every time I see one of those "knee-jerk" reactions to gun threads (like SecondAttempt mentioned above this post). I personally don't actually want a gun or other new weapon, but I defend the principle of them because most of the arguments against them are very illogical and often downright stupid.
If people really want to insist that a low-tech firearm would be too hard for Steve to make, then it could be a dungeon-chest only item. Solves that issue and adds rarity/value to them.
Prove it.

Do you mean as better than diamond, or worse than diamond?
If you mean better than, then I would say nay. Obsidian is annoying to mine, but is much more abundant that diamonds. Once you get 3 obsidian, you would be set for life.
If you mean worse than, then I would say maybe. I think that obsidian tools could maybe work as having the durability of stone but the speed of gold, with a high enchantability.
