    Like the vanilla styles of doors? Pity the fences are so bland though!!!

    This resource pack customizes the fences so they are more like their door counterparts with custom block models
    I've also improved the models for the doors and Iron bars so they are more 3D as well.

    no there is no config for blocks that can be used as sails aswell, you need to write a mod for it, if you want i can point you in the right dirrection as i have already done one in the past.

    Lol actually I did kinda make a submarine with ships mod problem was it was so slow and had turn ability of Zero so it like vanilla could only go in one direction.

    Sweet thanks, they one thing that my submarine its lacking tho is a mechanic for the medium ship block that determines that it isn't going to float and hence should be launched as a sub rather than a boat.

    Also a oxygen tank or other similar block of alterable boyance would be nice as i could then alter the float height of my sub

    off the port bow it seem we have found the first steam submarine that can actually move :)

    granted its not fast *cough* - very slow

    but that is due to the fact that their is no proper submarine code yet also it registers as having a turning speed of 0 but weirdly u can turn it left about 0.1 degress per sec (was a pain to dock had to do a full 360 degree turn)

    The config file doesn't appear automatically, you have to create a "shipBlockProperties.cfg" by creating a blank text file, renaming it, ignoring the error message about changing the file type (.txt to .cfg), and adding in whatever blocks you want changed.


    He has better instructions on this page: http://www.cuchazinteractive.com/ships/blocks.php As well as a list of the block names and default properties.

    Although I think the unit for mass is supposed to be tonnes, not kilograms. (1 cubic meter of water is 1 ton.)


    Sadly ships cannot yet be damaged while moving, and redstone is quite limited in what you can do. If you do want combat you can stop, "dock", fire, and move again, since "docked" ships can be damaged, and can fire dispensers or tnt cannons.

    I do hope that breaking/placing blocks while moving is added soon, since mid-battle repairs are always exciting.


    I personally would like to see the community really pull together and make a complete and comprehensive .cfg for all the blocks it is definitely something wanted/needed

    actually I would say torches, and redstone, should be weightless

    then the completed .cfg could be submitted as a PR to the mod bitbucket page. Normally i would organize the creation of said .cfg myself, but i am far to busy atm, so perhaps someone else could try.

    Edit: perhaps if you were to create a ideal bouyancy .cfg u could also do a realistic one ie weight some wood in rl and determine its weightm, etc.
