Can you update the acacia fence so it works in 1.9? The acacia fence inventory.json shows pink and black boxes.

Haha very late, but came back to minecraft and saw this was out of date so have updated.

Yea that's to be expected, for some reason Minecraft 1.5.2 just straight up won't run in the modern launchers, in order to get the modded Btw jar to run you need to prevent the launcher from updating to 1.5.2 every time you try and launch it.

option 1: disable your internet connection.

option 2: figure out what to delete from the 1.5.2-BTW.json file that accompanies the MC jar, I do have what I should look like however it on my home PC and I am on holiday at the beach.

Are the buttons "Enter" and "Download Port" meant to be grayed out on startup of the program?

    Edit: Fixed.

Edit 2: There seems to be no way to get the axle block to function.

Currently forge does not allow entities to be registered, due to changes in 1.11 so until that happens i can't really do waterwheels or any of the other power sources, however i will look at making some kind of temporary solution now.

Edit: Have added a powered axle which can be accessed thru the creative inventory however it lacks texturing and won't be functional beyond a power scource until the next forge update

Edit2: also ended up updating the port tool as a bug in my code was causing it to crash when attempting to preform an update.

If you download a fresh copy of the port tool you should be met with this screen when you attempt to run it

I have long been a fan of the Better Than Wolves mod and although i enjoy it i can't help wishing it was available on the more modern version of Minecraft (such as 1.11), so i have created a tool that updates it, with a few additions :P

All the the files needed to make this port work are stored remotely on MediaFire and will be downloaded when you launch the tool, it will not function without network access.

Version 0.201 (somewhat similar to btw v2.01)
    -Added Axle
    -Added Gear Box
    -Added the Mill Stone.
    -Added Gears as an item.
-Added Hemp Fibers as an item.
-Added Scoured Leather as an item.
    -Added Dung (unobtainable currently)
-Added Donuts (cook flour in the cauldron with sugar).
    -Added Hemp.
    -Added the Rope.
    -Added Anchor
-Added a new block type: Cauldrons.
    -Added Hibachi
    -Added Flour as an Item.
-Added ability for Mill Stone to grind Wheat into Flour.
-Added smelting recipe to bake Bread from Flour in the furnace.

-Add the Omni-Slab in wood and stone varieties.
-Add the Hand Crank as a new block type.
-Add the Detector Block (possibly will extend the observers funtionality instead)
-Add Block Dispensers. (to come with the core mod part)
-Add Wolfchops (to come with the core mod part)
-Add Water Wheel (on hold pending a forge update)
    -Add Nethercoal item.

    Quote from InuYasha86000»

I discovered your mod and am thinking of adding it to my modpack as one of my friends wants to be able to build driveable ships. I do have a question though, I noticed that sails seem to only be able to be made out of wool and not anything else, is there a possible fix for mod block sail enabling (meaning the use of other modded blocks for sails) or is it too hard to get the coding to work right with it? just curious, if it's not possible I fully understand, coding is not easy, and my modpack is 1.7.10 btw. I can link you to it if you would like.

[EDIT] A warning to anyone using any furniture type mod, DO NOT SIT IN A CHAIR ON A SHIP DURING LAUNCH, you crash and get this error:

    oops lol. now we know.

no there is no config for blocks that can be used as sails aswell, you need to write a mod for it, if you want i can point you in the right dirrection as i have already done one in the past.

    Quote from isep»

Now please don't expect any of this to be speedy but I'm looking into the issues regarding multiplayer in M3L and afterwards plan on building a script to transform existing worlds (definitely only vanilla at first) into unbound/cubic chunk worlds as an interface to allow existing biome generators to work in the cubic scheme (simply generating within the existing bounds, and placing air and lava above and below being respectively).

Background, so I came to the forums with a mod idea I wanted to implement that requires cubic chunks and lo and behold someone has already tackled that challenge! =) So far I have everything building and am working through the source code as well as this thread. The latter has proven significantly more dense than I initially thought. I expected the forum to be mostly feature requests, update announcements, and people asking for ETAs but unexpectedly the devs seem to have used the forums for technical discussions as well which have been absolute gems.

So I don't have my PhD yet (just finished my masters), have never worked on minecraft before (code is code right?), and somehow unwittingly picked one of the more technically daunting minecraft mods to take up maintenance on (should be fun) - let's see how this goes!

Glad to have you on board the previous dev is taking a break to work on Ships Mod so a fresh set of eyes would be hugely welcomed :)

Please let's not start this again. The mod will not be updating to versions of MC beyond 1.5.2. It simply will not, and that's not going to change.

Reasons why are amply and repeatedly listed in this thread for those that are interested.

Would you mind if i did an update/port to 1.8 then 1.9 ?

Reason I want to do it:

    1. BTW is just too good to be left behind in 1.5.2
    2. I have several ideas i wanna try with it

The logistics, I am still rather new to java so i will probably be writing the mod from scratch however if i could get src code access that would be great.

Why 1.8 cause i simply don't like 1.7 and 1.8 is easier to mod cause it has the block model capabilities.
