Eclipse? Look in the mods files using WinRar. You can see the code. In 1.2.1, Ruby armor has been nerfed (BTW). (The armor effects part)

They're slightly hard, but If you follow TheMChewy's MC 1.7.10 Forge Modding tutorial on grenades, and replace the texture with a shuriken and change the effects to damage, you have yourself a working shuriken.
