my idea expands on yours 10 times more, everyone is hating on the way you presented it and your own ideas (they arent the best to be honest)

Useless idea, too much netherrack in the nether for this to even be useful.
Netherrack wouldnt even look good as a pickaxe and dosent make sense to build it with it.
Its like saying: "Lets all build dirt pickaxes that turn EVERYTHING to dirt"

It always bothered me that i could Punch a tree down, or smash a rock apart with my fists.
Assuming i'm not Chuck Norris (or a weak clone, because chuck hits like tnt), It doesn't seem Plausible to be able to do this.

So I propose the Following:

1. Using your hands on anything but earth, Leaves, sand, Redstone dust or Gravel will cause you to lose Health slowly
(Face it, whens the last time you punched a tree and it didn't hurt?)
2. Leaves have a chance to drop Sticks. (50%?)
3. Flint can be used to make a small Hatchet using a stick and a flint (stick below, Flint above)


4 the resulting Hatchet can be only used on Wood, and will last for 25 uses or so.

I don't like to Call this a realism change, because that word has a Negative Vibe for games, once you use it, it automatically loses you some Credit and makes some think your a hardcore Junkie.


Hence the Term PLAUSIBLE.
