the mod is under active development (check the jenkins page and github) however due to changes in how current versions work dark will not be updating to them until he personally feels those versions are worth modding.

that, alas, is one of the quirks of modded minecraft. i CAN suggest a jerry rig solution of placing some blocks 2 blocks above your head around the tardis console. im not 100% sure if it will work but you could try using the tardis mods "force field" blocks as by default they are invisible. problem with those is i cant recall if they are solid from the bottom or not, though you can walk on them iirc

dont be discouraged. as i said, he has no plans i know of, that DOESN'T mean we will never update it just that he doesn't intend too for now. the great thing about the MC modding community is when a popular mod dies off it spawns innumerable versions made by others. take Redpower for example, it died off in 1.2.5 and yet SO many of the mechanics it introduced to MC have been replicated and improved. some examples are; the frames system - funky locomotion, the bundled redstone wire, heck even forge multipart was inspired by Red Power's cover system! even if this specific mod died there will be MANY new mods that may improve upon the ideas and systems put in place :)

development of mods tends to slow down towards the first and last quarters of the year. this is likely due to how school holidays are setup in the majority of places. another reason the mod hasn't been receiving frequent updates is because they are not needed... most of the major bugs have been squashed and the more minor ones are not really a big deal. while there is still room for improvement i would call this mod "system complete", that is its main functionality is in place. the mod went open source about a month ago so anyone who knows java can download the code to have a mess around or even create their own addons. idk when or even IF dark is going to be updating the mod to 1.10+

this in NOT going to happen. the way the tardis works as of now is that its a block. to get it to "fly" like that would require more than just a little work. it would require a TOTAL rewrite of the mods core functionality. people have to remember, these things are NOT easy to do.

in the tardis mobs will NOT spawn naturally. spawners still work in a dark room

that's fair enough, just dont be surprised if your suggestion/bug report gets buried before it gets seen by dark.

a lot harder than it sounds to implement AND would be a major FPS hit on weaker machines
