the mod is under active development (check the jenkins page and github) however due to changes in how current versions work dark will not be updating to them until he personally feels those versions are worth modding.

that, alas, is one of the quirks of modded minecraft. i CAN suggest a jerry rig solution of placing some blocks 2 blocks above your head around the tardis console. im not 100% sure if it will work but you could try using the tardis mods "force field" blocks as by default they are invisible. problem with those is i cant recall if they are solid from the bottom or not, though you can walk on them iirc

dont be discouraged. as i said, he has no plans i know of, that DOESN'T mean we will never update it just that he doesn't intend too for now. the great thing about the MC modding community is when a popular mod dies off it spawns innumerable versions made by others. take Redpower for example, it died off in 1.2.5 and yet SO many of the mechanics it introduced to MC have been replicated and improved. some examples are; the frames system - funky locomotion, the bundled redstone wire, heck even forge multipart was inspired by Red Power's cover system! even if this specific mod died there will be MANY new mods that may improve upon the ideas and systems put in place

development of mods tends to slow down towards the first and last quarters of the year. this is likely due to how school holidays are setup in the majority of places. another reason the mod hasn't been receiving frequent updates is because they are not needed... most of the major bugs have been squashed and the more minor ones are not really a big deal. while there is still room for improvement i would call this mod "system complete", that is its main functionality is in place. the mod went open source about a month ago so anyone who knows java can download the code to have a mess around or even create their own addons. idk when or even IF dark is going to be updating the mod to 1.10+

this in NOT going to happen. the way the tardis works as of now is that its a block. to get it to "fly" like that would require more than just a little work. it would require a TOTAL rewrite of the mods core functionality. people have to remember, these things are NOT easy to do.

Engage in the thrill of discovery, in Minecraft!
The Advanced Science mod will provide players with the ability discover and use new Technology to their advantage. Currently it is a WIP, so its features are limited. I have taken care of all of the base mechanics and am now ready to add massive amounts of exiting and interesting content.
If you are unsure which version you should download, the binary is probably the right choice.
Questions, either PM me or post in this thread.
Created by shift-right clicking on a crafting table with a work book. In the top slot of the research table gui work books are placed. Then, select what you wish to research on the right hand side. This will take a varying amount of time depending on the area's research vale – the research value of an area can be increased by adding chests, crafting tables, book shelves, and other items to the area surrounding the research table.
An advanced form of crafting table, this is (wil be) used to craft nearly all of the items in this mod. In the slots on the left side, research notes, which you obtain from the research table, are placed. Then a recipe is placed in the 3x3 grid. See the "Forge" recipe below for an example.
Used for advanced smelting recipes and melting metal, the forge is an upgraded furnace. In the top left and right slots, ores are placed. In the top center slot fuel is placed; any fuel that works in a furnace will work in a forge.
These are used to store a lot (12 stacks) of items in a single inventory slot. To package Items together, simply place an empty Item Box into a Machine table with whatever item you would like to store. To extract Items, simply place an Item Box in any crafting table, and you can pull items out, one stack at a time.
Another item that helps you conserve inventory space, the Item Multiplexer allows you to store four different kinds of tools, and have the functionality of all of them, in one slot. To place a new tool in the multiplexer's inventory, press shift & L (by default). To switch what item is active, simply press l.
Craft Metal Items with a hammer and and anvil. Shift-Right click on an anvil to open the hammer's GUI. Then, if you have the correct resources in your inventory, you can select an item to craft.
If you place either Gold ingots or Iron ingots in a forge it will give you a "soft" version of that metal. These are used with the hammer crafting mechanics.
Metal Rings are crafted in a hammer with two soft iron.
Metal Mesh is crafted by placing two metal rings next to each other in a machine table.
Hardened Metal is crafted in a hammer with one soft iron and three charcoal.
Reinforced metal is crafted in a hammer with a soft iron and a metal ring.
Improved metal is crafted with one iron and one gold.
Using custom metals crafted with a hammer, you can create enchanted armor. Place special ingots into the standard armor shape and get enchanted Iron armor. The more of each metal you have, the stronger its effect.
Metal Mesh provides projectile protection.
Hardened Metal provides blast protection.
Reinforced Metal provides unbreaking.
Improved Metal provides protection.
Surrounding a water bottle with snow blocks in the machine table will result in an ice block.
Placing iron or gold ore in both resource slots of the forge will get you 3 ingots per 2 ore.
