It's not going to be great, but on lower settings with optifine, I believe it could hit 60.
CPU is pretty solid as well, for Minecraft anyway.
Oh god no...
GPUBoss is a completely worthless website for comparing GPUs. It only uses one benchmark, Passmark (which is biased towards Nvidia anyways), plus they compare using cores and clockspeed, which is basically useless when comparing GPUs.
A Radeon HD 7660G will completely destroy a HD 4200 anyday.
As for the Goodwill comment, I've never seen computers at Goodwill. Most of them get auctioned off
As for my recommendation, just get a desktop with a Core 2 Duo for under $50, and throw in a used Nvidia GT 720 or 730. They can be found for around $30-40 on eBay all day. I ran a $40 desktop with a desktop with an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, 4gb of ram, and a GT 640. Total cost was $40 for desktop, $20 for ram, $40 for GPU. $100 and got 60-100 fps easily with high settings and optifine.
Most mGPUs are very underwhelming. Take the 950M for example!
Well yes, but the M335 is quite a bit worse than even the 920M. Apparently it's only *barely* faster than Intel HD 4600, and according to _Xiae, the Intel graphics actually run vanilla MC better.
OK.Thanks.If it wasn't for you then I would have wasted money.
But I have one more question. My current PC has Intel Atom N270 1.60 GHz and 1GB RAM with Windows 7.The manual says that it can be upgraded to max 2GB.But I am also thinking about upgrading the processor. Is it possible?
P.S The PC model is Samsung N110.
Nope. It's generally impossible to upgrade the CPU on most laptops.
It was more, it was about $450. Someone else on another site told me it was better so I went with that one ( just gonna have to some how come up with the difference). Crud, did I pick the wrong one?
Did you already buy it...?
I remember another member on here (pretty sure it was _Xiae) commenting about how he had a laptop with the same CPU & GPU and it did not do well at all for minecraft. Apparently the M335 is a very underperforming GPU.
It's Inspiron 15 - 5559
Processor: Intel Core 6th Generation i7-6500U Processor (Dual Core, up to 3.10 GHz, 4M Cache, 15W)
Windows 10 Home 64bit English
1 TB SATA Hard Drive (5400 RPM)
8 GB Dual Channel DDR3L 1600MHz (4GBx2) Memory
15.6 inch LED Backlit On-cell Touch Display with Truelife and HD resolution (1366 x 768)
Tray load DVD Drive (Reads and Writes to DVD/CD)
AMD Radeon R5 M335 4GB DDR3
That sounds like it's gonna be more than $300. The AMD A10 laptop has a slightly better GPU and a worse CPU.
Stay away from: Acer, Dell, Gateway, Alienware, Compaq, HP, LG Also Do not buy that have intel graphics
I've owned 2 Dell laptops, 2 Acer laptops, and an Alienware. None of them had overheating issues whatsoever. Also Compaq doesn't make computers anymore, and LG never made computers in the first place. You can't just generalize computer brands like this.
And Intel HD graphics have gotten much better these days.

I highly doubt an ATI Radeon 4200 will even be able to hit 60 fps in the first place. Maybe 30 fps on low settings...
0
It's quite a bit better then the other options, and definitely much better than the laptop with the i5-6200u and AMD M335

Tripe A aka AAA games are video games with high budgets such a the Call of Duty games, Halo, Battlefield, Grand Theft Auto, etc.
Dishonored 2 should run ok, since it's pretty old now. I'd expect a decent framerate at medium settings
0
It's good enough for for older lighter games, and Minecraft. Don't expect to play any AAA games or anything.
0
That's actually pretty dang good for the money. To build a similar PC it would cost about $675, so for a prebuilt I'd say it's a good value.
0
Vanilla = Over 200 with or without optifine
30-40 mods = Completely depends on what mods you run, but most likely over 60.
Shaders = Again, depends on what shaderpacks you run, but probably around 50 for Ultra shader packs and 80+ fps on Lite shaders

That prebuilt has a horrible PSU and a very outdated CPU. The PCs that Spark posted are quite a bit better.

It's insanely overpriced for what it is. 99% of Sub-$1000 prebuilts are usually garbage for the money.

I mean you can upgrade it, just don't expect a huge difference in performance. And it's not worth adding more than 2gb anyways.
