Thank you. I appreciate it.Quote from Samshotz
Good idea i think you should make it so that the Good and Evil extends for example after far into the evil side by many 100s mobs are neutral with you even out of the village and hunting down and killing villagers can give you more drops and more likely chance of those good drops. However say you choose to be excellent in assisting and gaining the friendship of a village that village could start prospering and growing more villages near by it, and your trades can become even better and they could leave you a gifting house where they could could give you tiny rewards daily.
Thats a great concept but my idea is focused specifically on the time you spend in villages. Where as outside the village boundary your Minecraft experience would be exactly the same as it was before this idea came into play (if it does). Still I really appreciate your feedback. Thank you.

Good idea, I like the ancient lost people thing in minecraft. Why not add some creepy cave paintings going down, paintings of ghosts, monsters, enderdragons, battles, heroes.
It would definitely fit the theme of Minecraft. But what you gotta keep in mind is that each block only has sixteen by sixteen pixels on each side so sadly the cave art wouldn't be able to be very complex.

Oh wait, I'm from the future:
Your idea is already on the TO-DO list of Mojang, sit back, and enjoy this cookie.
It really is on the to-do list? Wow. Lol.

Thanks you for the complement (and support!) . Edited/updated example trade log, looks more neat and organised now.
Your welcome. I'll visit your thread often and coninue to support it. I would really love to see quests implemented into Minecraft.

It looks better than yesterday. But it never hurts to expand an idea. Keep up the good work!
I'll add as much as I can without making it too complicated.
Aug 5, 2012To be honest the only reason I open ideas concerning new tiers is for more variety in pvp and so that not everyone on a server looks the exact same in all their diamond armor.Posted in: Suggestions
I don't like the carbon... I think using normal charcoal or coal should be fine. If you are afraid of it being too easy to obtain than how about an iron and a charcoal or coal smelted together makes a steel nugget? Then nine nuggets must be crafted together to make the ingot. Steel is stronger than iron, so naturally it should consist of more compact metal.

Some people are worried about this not being in Minecraft's "theme".
Back in beta 1.4 did you think villagers, golems, and trading woud fit Minecraft's "theme"?
Also there is a solution. If quests are added and you don't want to do them.... Then don't do them. You don't have to do the quests.

Aug 5, 2012AlexanderValkyrie posted a message on The ability to build and populate villages, cities and castles. If the houses available for villagers in your castles/cities/custom villages are suitable spawning conditions (a door with walls a roof and a floor) then villagers will breed/populate.Posted in: Suggestions
But villagers consuming food resources would be incredibly hard to code and incredibly frustrating for the player.
Aug 5, 2012I've done alot of balancing this morning. Please occasionally come back to this thread and tell me what you think as I will coninue to update this thread. My focus is that being evil would be "the easy way" but is much less rewarding. If you see any problems with my balancing or have any suggestions of your own that can make it better please let me know.Posted in: Suggestions

Great idea! The only thing I don't really like is how hard it is to get a good reputation, and easy to get a bad one. Since they seem to equal in value, I don't see why it's harder to get good rep points. I think that boosting the points on the good scale or lowering the bad scale for more equality would make sense. I would make some banners and pictures, because awesome threads deserve pictures or else they make my eyes bored, but I'm not on my computer right now.
Also, I wondered that since iron golems attack you on sight if you have a bad reputation, does this include ones outside of the village, or ones you built inside the village? I just thought you should clear that up. Great idea, you have my rep.
Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate your advise. I'll patch this up a bit.

But don't you agree that adding a no-knockback effect along with the damage reduction would make the block more useful but not too OP?
Yes, I would love a blocking game mechanic that actually works consistently.

What I meant was its appearance is of carved stone, but when mined you get the art block. And all four horizontal sides have the pictures, so Ill clean that up.
Ah okay. Thanks for replying. I understand now and I still think this is a really amazing idea.

Where in the game, after downloading the snapshot, do I find rubies?
There are no rubies. Follow the updates closely and you'll see that emeralds have been added recently but there are no rubies in Minecraft.------------------------------------------
I hope snapshot b comes out soon because after seeing all these comments about lag and bugs I'm not willing to risk it.Quote from leon6er
can you tell me when will release 1.2.6
It will be released as 1.3 and I doubt even Notch knows exactly when because there is no guarentee that the snapshot updates will be perfect.
Jun 2, 2012I'm having trouble playing the new snapshot. My laptop cannot connect to the internet to download it but I can download the file to a flash drive. Only problem is when I delete the old jar file and drag the new one over it shows the "updating" screen when I click Minecraft and click play offline. The green bar is close to fully loaded but never moves.Posted in: News
Please tell me how I can fix this so I can play Minecraft in my spare time.
Jun 2, 2012I need help playing this version of Minecraft! Right now my laptop has no internet to connect to and the best I can do is download the snapshot file to a flash drive and drag it over on my laptop. (I know I won't be able to get the full Minecraft update without an internet connection). Every time I drag the jar file over and start Minecraft it only shows the updating screen with the green bar almost loaded, and it never moves. If you could help me that would be great because I really would like to test out this snapshot.Posted in: News
