P.S.How do you make a layer(piece) of gravel on the path that looks like a layer of snow?
If you give yourself a snow tile with data values attached to it from 0-7, you get 1/8 to 7/8 of a snow block that you can place down. This allows that effect to exist, as they are normal gravel blocks surrounded by 5/8 to 7/8 snow blocks.
Holy Spaghetti. This map is AMAZING! Nice job guys!
I've got one question. Are there any mods that i need for this map?
Nope, no mods needed. I am unsure if it needs to be updated for any new versions of Minecraft, but I doubt it does. You just gotta open the map up and play!
We recently reached 7,500 downloads on this map, and Meadows and I have been in talks about maybe making a second map! We are very busy in our lives, with school and other things. So, the map would probably be made in the summer.
If you enjoyed the Mystery of Gliston, I promise that the next map will be even better. We learned a lot from this and the tons of playthroughs that it spawned, and we will refine our mapmaking style. Thanks for the support!
Merry Christmas! All of you guys have made this a Christmas to remember. This map has been successful beyond anything I could have imagined. Every single one of you made this possible, and for that I am thankful! I hope everyone has a great day!
Hey, I just want to say I really enjoyed the map and I bet so did the people who watched my Xmas Special! Just a quick thing though, First of all in single player after i visited the mansion and returned to the woman the pressure plate didn't re spawn, But it worked when i did the rest of the map in Multi player. Also the bridge didn't open. So i had to do all of this in editing. I see other people had similar problems. But all in all i loved the map, the story and the ending, GG :D.
Check my complete lets play below! + Special Video
If your render distance was less than 12 in singleplayer, the bridge and the pressure plate in the Denman's house don't work because they are out of range when key events happen.
Good map.... Finished the map less than an hour probably because I skipped the parkour at the pug (Yes I'm so noob). And btw, at the drill site I rushed and get the diamond key without deaths there.. (Ik I'm so pro)
That puzzle is all timing, so you're pretty skilled if you can do it one go! Nice job, and glad you liked it!
We aren't sure we're making another map quite yet. This map was really fun to make and exceeded our expectations, but it took a truck load of time to make.
Also, nice playthrough you two! I unfortunately can't edit the first post, or it breaks the formatting of the post.
Glad to hear you enjoyed it! I'm putting out Blitz Build Holiday Edition this Friday, December 5th. It includes 36 new winter/holiday-themed structures that should continue to provide a challenge.
I'll also update the "main" download on the 5th to include all of the original builds, plus the Holiday Edition builds, bringing that version up to 72 total models (and hopefully much less repetition).
That is really fantastic! You have a great map here, I am a huge fan.
This map is really fantastic! I played with 4 of my friends and we had such a good time. We struggled to align blocks properly, leading to hilarious mishaps of builds. All I would recommend is more builds, but I can see just how difficult the redstone is. Really great stuff, it has great replayability!
Hey, while playing I came across a bug. In the part where you have to put the 4 keys into their correct spots, I do it but nothing happens. Was the door supposed to open or did I have to do more? Please reply.
Overall, great map! I will definitely look out for more
EDIT: I saw you post about the broken door I also had to cheat.
I am currently uploading the fixed map. It's sad that the Yogscast had to experience the glitch, but you live and learn. It should work for everyone 100% of the time once the update pushes out.

Are you updated to 1.8? The map should work if you're on 1.8 or above. You may want to redownload your minecraft client as well.

Sadly, I can't edit the main post anymore without breaking the whole thing. Sorry to all the Let's Players out there.

EDIT: The door isn't broken when I play. Must have been a one time thing...
