The best way to find keys is to NOT go searching for them. Just carry on with the day-to-day stuff, maybe go mining, and before long (depending on config settings) you'll stumble on secret rooms.
It's a bit embarrassing, but for a while I was stuck because Navi kept dinging while next to a boss dungeon. Didn't think she'd point out something so obvious, but I guess she does.
Sadly, I've opened around 20 rooms now and not a single boss key still.
Is there a way to keep from auto-targeting Navi? It's very disruptive during fights and I can't always snag Navi before fights break out while adventuring.
That's a little disappointing, I was hoping that there was a progression of difficulty with dungeons, but alright. Maybe I'll go through Twilight Forest first.
Alright, thanks. I'm just trying to understand how to really get started in this mod, I finally started finding Secret Rooms when I realized that the towers in my desert were more of a boss room, opposed to one of these secret rooms. I keep finding towers in my desert, but they're all locked and a black lock and I can never find a key to get into them.
Just to make sure I understand this mod's starting point, it's Secret Room > Key to Dungeon > Dungeon/Boss key? So far I keep pulling chest keys and can't get anywhere.
I know, but I don't get how Navi works. She's making a signal that there's one nearby, but try as I might I can't find it. When she jingles, there's a room within her search range, right? I had it set for 5 blocks, and still couldn't find it.
And I mean I can't even find the entrance even cheating.
Again.. Can somebody message me or something about finding secret rooms? I started just blowing up everything around me from where Navi was making her noise and still didn't find it.
How the heck are we supposed to find secret rooms? I hear Navi keep ringing, but try as I might, I can't find the room. I've dug up half this desert it feels >_>
Glad to see this back, but I didn't see an item that was one of the driving reasons behind my loving the original - The mirror that would return you to the last place it was exposed to sunlight. There was nothing more reassuring than knowing I could venture anywhere underground and be able to teleport back to the surface.
basicly world gen will create new territory as you reach it, but it will remember old territory that has been created before unless you manually delete it in the folder it is saved in
so normaly adding the mod and then going to an already created world should give no problems, but you will only find blocks and such from the mod in places generated after the mod has been installed

Does anyone know if this would work with minecraft 1.8? I apologize if this question has been beaten to death.

Last time I'll ask, since I don't want to spam, but is there going to be a 1.9 adaption? I'd download this in a heartbeat. An ideal mod in my view.

I love the retro look of this mod and I've been wanting it for 1.9. Does anyone know if it's compatible or in the works for 1.9?
