In the 15w42a snapshot mojang introduced the 'Frost Walker' enchant to minecraft. I decided to ignore it's original intend of walking on water and instead, use it to make secret entrances!
A recreation of a popular effect as seen in many legend of zelda games.
This is a modified version of the device seen in my previous video, "Lootable Pots". With this device, the player will only receive items if then are in a certain area and only for a short period of time. It uses randomizers, testfor commands, timers and simple logic to achieve this.
A simple tool that will improve the inventory management in creative.
Differing from other similar "creative boxes" this one only uses one potion. That makes it extreamly simple and easy to use!
Although the device is simple the mechanics is pretty complex. It uses command blocks, spawn points and timings to create a very fast and reliable "checkpoint" style mechanic. To get this in the world simple import the schematic into your world. Obviously it can be expanded to have any number of things (e.g. game-rules, more presets, coordinates...)
Break all pots, because that's what normal people do.
Many games have it, expect minecraft...until now. Zelda games are famous for breaking pots in order to get rubies, hearts and other items. This effect can be recreated in minecraft using a little redstone magic.
A very short video explaining how to add attributes to items
In snapshot 13w21a Mojang introduced the new attributed system. This will change the way damage, potions and custom maps work. This essentially makes it so custom attributes can be applied to items. So armor, weapons, or any item can give the player an effect.
This tutorial show how to apply effects to items using NBT data, but before you can start you will need this schematic.
I really like this, simple concept but put to great use, I like the fact that the light is only a few blocks, it adds a nice, eery feeling, would be awesome for horror maps, it's awesome that it flickers slightly too unless that's my eyes playing up
This is a perfect addition to an adventure map that is for sure! FUN FACT: if you want crazy flickering put the lighting on moody.

Using this it will give an output no matter where the player is.

Having amplifiers for all the potions would sure be helpful.

Based on some of the comments this seems to be the case. Hopefully mojang will fix this.
