The things that say they are supported work perfectly fine for me. (So far that's gates, bridges, elevator teleporters, and minecart booster and brake blocks.)

reason you should you be accepted: I want to explore caves, gather resources and defend a town, and lead attacks against the other town across the river that likes the opposite sports teams

I would love it if Minecraft supported using gamepads to play (on a pc). I like playing some pc games with my xbox controller (emulators often have good support).
you can do this with xpadder, a program that lets you route keys to controller buttons. Look it up on google.
I'm on linux - I already have a similar program, but it can't map the controller to the mouse.
Iron and a lot of other things seem to be kind of regional; try exploring a different cave system farther away on your island, or even a different island.

- Lava monsters (Imagine filling your bucket with lava and then something jumps out to try and drag you in).
I like this idea a lot.
About everything else: I think Minecraft is already pretty eerie when its dark and enemies are about. There already are some creepy sounds: the enemy noises and the ambient cave sounds. I think the ambient cave sounds and music should be played a bit more frequently though, and maybe a few new ones could be added.
Eh, I was thinking more along the lines of NetHack. Why have key/door, puzzle, etc... mechanism if I can just dig through the wall? And no, the walls should not be invincible. That would ruin Minecraft.
A few levels in Nethack have invincible walls. I think a few puzzle-type dungeons with walls made out of obsidian wouldn't be too bad.
I once put my computer to standby mode while Minecraft was running a few weeks ago. When I resumed the computer and unpaused Minecraft, it was super speed for a while.
I made something like a D latch here. There was a D latch (flip-flop?) a few pages back, but it often flickered the Q and ~Q signals when the button was pressed, which I didn't want.
Mine works in 4 ticks (compared to its 6) and it can also have the signal changed while C is active (so maybe this isn't technically a D, but it's still a useful circuit). The only problem with this circuit I've found (besides probably being compressible) is that if you keep C active for only two or fewer ticks while trying to change the output, in the simulator the output will go crazy flashing on and off, but I haven't been able to recreate this in the game.
It's kind of interesting, but with how far players travel from each other in servers already it could just make it seem really desolate. I could see the shout and whisper commands being added in a server mod though.
