    Though - This week? That's impressive. If I've got free time I can try out the prerelease, but it's doubtful. Realistically, I'll probably wait for the full release and give it a shot then.

    EE1 was... Many, many versions of minecraft ago. Back into Beta, I believe. Don't quote me on that, it's a bit sketchy for me and I didn't keep a calendar of it going. I fell out a bit between EE1 and EE2 (Due to finding EE2 strange and all of my stuff getting deleted during the switch; I needed time to sulk) so when I came back EE1 was in obscurity even then.

    As far as I can surmise... I believe that since EE2 was considered by most to be a step up from EE1, and EE1 not being updated and slowly falling far, far behind on versions... Well. No one really paid attention to it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do also believe the wiki was replaced/updated. Either that, or there wasn't one for EE1, I'm not entirely sure which. It was a long time ago and I can't remember what I had for dinner last night, let alone a detailed account of what happened.

    If I remember right... There was some freaking out when EE1 went to EE2, what with all of the new things added. Then, after that everyone kind of universally decided that EE2 was better (more features and such) and kind of... Stopped talking about the original version. EE1 wasn't multiplayer compatible, and EE2 took some time to get multiplayer compatible, so no one quite realized how OP it was in multiplayer until all of the features were already in there.

    Yeah, I'm aware. My problem was with people that are begging for EE3 to be updated faster, or the people begging for EE2 being updated to 1.5.1, which won't happen.

    Wow. I was all set to check on EE3's progress; I agree that EE2's OP, and wanted the new generation of EE to be better. Collectors, you just set up and then tapdance in a corner for a while and bam - most powerful weapons and armor in the game, even when compared to other mod packs. It needed to be changed. If that involved an entire rebuilding from the ground up, so be it. I hope it'll be a good one, I really do. I can wait, as long as it'll be good. No posts to the topic, just quiet, benign lurking to see how a project I liked was doing.

    And then I saw the comments on this topic.

    Now I don't care about the progress on EE3 in the slightest, and really just want to give the devs (Pahimar in particular, but everyone else dealing with this amount of complaints) a big hug. Then some cookies. Maybe some ice cream, too, if they don't take my mint chocolate chip.

    To the people constantly asking about EE2 being updated, it's been stated, multiple times, literally anywhere that EE is involved that it's not updating anymore. I was there when EE1 updated to EE2, and it's like that. Never updating again. Sorry. I know it's not a fun transition, I really do (personally I didn't play EE2 for a while because it felt so weird to me after EE1's simplicity) but... You're going to have to deal with it. Pestering the people in charge will drive them away, not convince them to go to your side; they chose to move on from EE2 for a reason. Mods have changed versions before - LARGE changes, too, like Thaumcraft's destruction of taint and the entire update there - and while people may ask for previous versions to be updated to 1.5, or 1.4.7, or whatever the current build of minecraft happens to be.... This is a bit much. Seriously. Please. Leave these poor people alone, they're working. I personally don't know anyone that works well with hundreds of people yelling at them to do two completely different things at once, with no thought to how long it'll take.

    And on updates for EE3? Lurk. Lurk like you've never lurked before. Play some other mods, there are plenty that have magic involved. Some of those, and others will get you a huge amount of materials, faster than even EE2 could. Other mods get rid of a huge amount of materials in order to get you something cool. Do some searching, have some fun. It's one mod, not the heat death of the universe.

    Yes, EE2's fun. Yes, I miss flying around, making whatever I wanted because I could, summoning up fiery lava-based death for mobs everywhere that looked at me funny, then panicking and having to douse it before my forest caught on fire again. I sometimes miss things being really easy, where I could just set something up and not worry about it, then bam - best weapons and armor in the game, hurray!

    Then it moved on to EE3, and I played other mods. And you know what? It's not the end of the world. I'm still having fun. You can too, guarantee you'll have more doing other things than whining over something. No, really. Try it. It's fun.

    silentstealth, it's also recommended to have a physical weakness along with mental and social ones. Being easily angered and not being good with people don't seem like valid reasons to work with other players - which is one of the reasons we have weaknesses. Something for other people to make up for and give you a reason to work with them.

    Oh, and none of what I say holds any particular weight. I'm not a whitelister, I don't have authority here. So you don't have to listen to me if you don't want to :)

    Jidek, I think Tiff's right. He posted his old application, but didn't fill out his new one.

    I love Tsev, make no mistake, but uh.... Fill out your app, sir. Not so much to prove your RP ability (We already know that one :P ) but so that the rest of us can look up descriptions and such of your character, something that I use the applications for all the time.

    There was one that I know of that was focused on healing, but I haven't seen the person who plays him on Skype, or logged on in a while. So, for all intents and purposes... There really isn't one who's main purpose is to heal.

    I have plans for my next character, if Idania dies... Guessing I'll have to make her a healer. That'll fit nicely with the other character traits I have in mind for her...

    And by 'nicely' I mean 'it will be completely and utterly terrifying to behold.'

    She's firmly dipped into the good alignment, so uh... Sorry, refusing to heal when someone's bleeding on her just because she doesn't like it... Yeah, no. She'll stop whining and help, but it's supposed to be an occasional thing, not all the time.

    The people she refused to take as apprentices wanted to be alchemists, not healers. She's actually teaching Rion how to heal, and poking Renn to do it more, but often they aren't online when people need to be patched up. Lucia might possibly become her apprentice, if she focuses on healing ONLY, rather than alchemy, but there's some bad blood between the two of them. (Idania doesn't approve of using other people as test subjects, which Lucia has done)

    So, yeah. My character's basically bringing this on herself, but I love her and want to pull strings to make her happy again xD

    A personal request that no one really has to follow: someone please make a proper healer. My character hates doing it, but everyone's basically forced her to regardless, since there's really no one else. I had been hoping that someone would show up eventually, but everyone seems to think Idania's got it covered, and that focusing on making more villains is what's required.

    Let me put it this way; she does not. She has broken down crying several times in Jaden's arms because no one is listening to her when she says she doesn't want to.

    If no one wants to step up, fine, but it's my character that'll suffer the consequences.

    Glitch, the basin's not in a hole in the ground. It's actually nestled in a caldera, surrounded by mountains. So, Mark finding it wouldn't quite go like that.

    Edit: Also, Hcman, we're not updating to 1.4 for a while, I think. We've been kept waiting by Solus for long enough, and we're all kind of impatient to get out of the prologue.

    You don't have to use MCnostalgia, though; I just downloaded spout. That way, I can play 1.4 on my normal MC browser, but can get on the server via spout.

    Just an idea, you can use whatever you like :)

    Bordestdouble: Like BradParadise, I'm not a whitelister, but I do have some experience in whitelisting, so... Advice time.

    Be aware that you don't have to actually follow any of this, it's just my personal opinion and you're free to ignore it. However, I DO know how whitelisting works, and was the sole whitelister somewhere else for several months. So, keep that in mind if you do decide to ignore me.

    Some of your OOC answers are incorrect. Look over those again, and realize that what the whitelisters want is not to have an answer directly copied from the OP. They want you to understand what the rules are, and therefore put them in your own words; just copy pasting them isn't really proof that you know what the rules are, just that you know how to use Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V. Read the OP carefully, because some of the ones you didn't copy are also incorrect.

    Second, we have not yet gone underground. We're living in Roland's Basin; as the wondrous and glorious Mallachie pointed out earlier, you haven't mentioned it in your application at all. You might want to fix that.

    Next... You're writing your bio as if you're currently roleplaying out interaction with Lucy. All characters on the server need to be roleplayed by a person; admins and GMs can play as NPCs occasionally, but that's usually for a specific event, and only when necessary. Asking one of them to play an NPC specifically to be your character's love interest is a bit of a stretch, and having one person play two characters gets confusing really quickly. So, I recommend either finding someone to fullfill that niche through the character linking aid, or tweaking your backstory to either remove her or make her firmly part of the backstory; this is all what happened before your character came to Roland's Basin. Acting as if he's currently in the middle of wooing a girl is fine... As long as the girl exists and is played by someone. At the moment, Lucy is not.

    If your character having a lady friend is important to you and the character linking aid isn't feasible, I recommend just removing that part of your backstory and seeing what happens on the server if you're accepted. There are plenty of single ladies on this server; off of the top of my head I can think of five that are around Druss's age, so you're free to give that a shot in RP rather than backstory.

    As far as I can tell... Your character has no physical weaknesses. He's both fast and strong, no downsides. People in real life are not perfect, and in RP, it's nice to have the same. Give him a feasible physical weakness; otherwise, there will be one all-powerful god character that no one else can stop, and you have no reason to work with anyone else. RP's about character interaction; your character finding others to make up for personal weaknesses, and also having those weaknesses exploited.

    Your ICRs are a bit questionable, as well. For example, it has things that your backstory and class don't support. Archers are the only ones with bows and arrows, yet your ICR has Druss using them, even though he's a thief. Nowhere in your backstory do you mention archery. It doesn't quite make sense.

    On a formatting note, your application's font, size and placement still all varies wildly. It's unprofessional and distracting, so I recommend fixing that. Work on your grammar and spelling, as well; capitalizing random words in a sentence isn't the way to go. Also, double posting on forums is considered bad form. At the bottom of your post there should be an 'edit' button. If no one's replied to what you've said, it's best to use that, to avoid clogging up the topic.

    Good luck in your application, I hope this helped you out. I offer criticism out of love, please don't take offense to any of this. I want you to improve and get accepted! ^_^
