*Sigh
Couldn't they at least sell it to a company who doesn't screw things up, and absolutely blow at making games? If their sick of working on Minecraft, than why couldn't they have at least sold it to an experienced game making company like Valve?
If Minecraft gets sold, Mojang will go bankrupt. Fast.

Sep 10, 2014Aeroisticon posted a message on Microsoft Buying Minecraft? This hits me on a personal level. A game that I've played for many years, that I've come to love, and a game that I can call my favorite, is going to be deliberately ruined by a multi-million dollar company.Posted in: News
I have spent over 3,000 hours mining, crafting, and building. And now it's going to seem pointless. PC support is going to stop, and Minecraft is going to be destroyed. Microsoft will most likely drain the spirit, and feel of Minecraft, implementing repetitive mechanics into pointless sequels.
I won't stand for it. If you want to help me in the defense of Minecraft, let's get #ProtectMinecraft trending on Twitter, to show that Minecraft was built around the community, and that's something that Microsoft won't be able to smash with money.

Since when was GTA marketed towards children? The Grand Theft Auto franchise, ever since GTA III, has recieved mature ratings, meaning that anybody under 17 shouldn't play them at least without adult supervision. If you have a problem with the adult content, then don't play it. Just because a game includes adult content that you don't find suitable doesn't mean that the quality of the game is bad.
And before you say "well all video games (should be) are made for children to enjoy". The average gamer is 31 years old. Game developers aren't going to make content that is oriented for a 10 year old if the average gamer is a full grown adult.
Rockstar Games or any game developer for that matter has no control over what parents let their children play alone. So if you see lots of children on GTA, blame it on their negligent parents and not the game itself.

Okay, before I get a bunch of hate, I'm just going to ask that the people viewing this thread read everything that I have to say before going on a rant spree. I'm not sure how the forums work anymore so if this type of thread isn't allowed, feel free to lock it.
6-7 months ago, all I played constantly was Minecraft. I ate, breathed, and dreamed Minecraft. I remember specifically that I had a survival world that I had spent around the 500-600 hour range in. Minecraft still, to this date, is my most played game, probably of all time. I had countless thousand hours of fun mining, exploring, and playing online with friends. I was really active here on the Minecraft forums, contributing to many articles and often getting in forum battles that resulted in me getting a temporary ban. Minecraft held a special connection to me, considering it was the one thing that truly comforted me during many hard times. I made new friends online, and I could easily escape from everything by simply just entering my survival world.
Then one day, I decided that I wanted to play a bit of Team Fortress 2. I had loads of fun just messing around, talking to the community, ect. I played it for a couple of hours and returned to Minecraft. There was something about it that was different. I just couldn't get immersed like I could before. Everything felt really boring and stale. I frequently caught myself minimizing the game to watch YouTube videos of other games.
About a week later, I bought CS:GO. CS:GO gave me such a feeling of progression. A feeling that what I was doing actually required some degree of skill and mastery. Minecraft gave a progression vibe, but it gave an in-game progression vibe. CS:GO actually gave me a feeling of personal progression.
Months passed, and I racked up over 300 hours in CS:GO and made it out of the silver leagues. When I got my first Gold Nova 1 rank, it was an achievement unlike anything I had ever experienced in Minecraft. A cloud of pride and excitement came over me. It almost made me feel like I became a new person.
Then I remembered that it is just a game.
A couple more months passed, playing a couple of side games, but mainly playing CS:GO. It had been nearly 5 months since I had touched or even thought of Minecraft. Then GTA V came out for PC. Within nearly a month and a half, I had already racked up 300 hours. As soon as I stopped playing Minecraft, it's almost like I began to see gaming in a whole other light.
And here I am today. Haven't touched Minecraft in nearly 7ish months, and I don't miss it. There are games that I haven't played in years, but there is a difference between those and Minecraft. I actually feel the want to re-experience those games. Minecraft just lost what it had that was special to me. Then I realized that it is a phase.
This is going to be my last thread here on the forums. If you're addicted to Minecraft and that's all you play, breathe and think about, I'm telling you now. Go experience what else gaming has to offer. You won't regret it.

I'll take it if that's okay with you

So then all foods would practically be like different strength golden apples. Which, let me remind you, is famous for being overpowered and overused in PvP combat.

Because it's yummy. And it's almost Thanksgiving time.
Why do you do anything in Minecraft? If you're playing Minecraft, and your goal is to everything strictly as they are intended, then you're not playing it right. No matter how much logic, reasoning and factual sources you use, Minecraft will always be about doing whatever you feel like doing. For example, I just recently build a large Christmas tree in my survival world that I will most likely tear down right after New Years. Why did I build the tree if it isn't accomplishing anything or increasing productivity? The answer to that: because I wanted to.
Same goes for life. Many people think that strict productivity and accomplishing things is what life is all about. But my job isn't to sit here and preach to you a bunch of life lessons.
Now please, enjoy a picture of a slice of delicious pumpkin pie.

This laptop could probably play all the games mentioned at ultra settings.

The game would be too overpowered without it. It is a good balancer.

If the framerate lag is annoying you so much, then try out Optifine for 1.8.

First food source you should find?
Depends on the biome, because different mobs spawn in different biomes. For grasslands or forests, I'd say any kind of meat (pigs, cows, sheep, rabbit), but if there are no animals in sight then I'd say use seeds to grow some wheat.
