and tmi doesnt need forge, thats another reason why tmi should stay updated.
well, and the features that help me develope my custom map a hell lot.
A mod not needing Forge is not a legitimate reason for keeping it around. There's nothing wrong with a mod not needing Forge, but there are no pros or cons about it. It's just a mod by itself. Now on the other hand, if a mod is incompatible with Forge it has absolutely no business or right to exist at all. A mod that doesn't work with Forge should die a quick and quiet death. Almost every single worthwhile mod requires Forge in some way, and any mods I might be interested in are compatible at minimum.
On the latest 1.8 version of BOP, where can I find the configuration to choose which biomes spawn? I looked in the game files and world creation page, but I can't find anything.
Is there anywhere in the configuration file that I can change how many blocks I can climb vertically using the grab key, or is that hardcoded and can't be changed?
I'm not sure why, but I am unable to get flying to work. Even though it says it is enabled, nothing happens when I double tab the spacebar. I tried pressing F too.
I'm pretty sure you just have the wrong version of Forge installed. Someone who knows a lot more than me could probably help you better, but since none of them are around right now, try switching to forge version 11.14.3.1468. Go to http://files.minecraftforge.net/, then click on "Show all downloads". After that search for 11.14.3.1468. When I installed BOP last night I had a similar crash as you, and forge told me I needed 1468 to activate BOP, as I also had 1450 installed like you.

Hey, I'm actually a moderator over in /r/PCMasterRace under the same username as the one I use here. I'd be interested to help out with this if you want any of the actual team members from /r/PCMasterRace.
For the love of god... All I want is to make my day-night cycle longer in Minecraft, and when I finally find a really good mod for exactly that, it's three Minecraft versions out of date. Sigh...
20 minutes is nowhere near long enough to really get into character when playing Minecraft. I feel like when I am trying to role-play when playing, having 10 minutes of daylight really breaks the immersion for me.
Are there any mods or methods of making the day-cycle longer in Minecraft 1.5.2?
Allow me to clarify a little bit. I don't want to cheat in the game, I just want the entire cycle to slow down, while keeping the current dawn-day-dusk-night ratios.
Right now, I believe Minecraft runs at a timescale of 1/72 of normal time. This is the fastest timescale I've ever seen in any game. In creative mode or on servers it doesn't bother me, but when I am trying role-play in Minecraft, having only 10 minutes of daylight absolutely destroys the immersion.
It's physically jarring when you can actually look up and see the sun/moon moving across the sky. It gives the game a false sense of urgency that I am really not a fan of, and that does not need to be a required part of the game.
I've seen customizable day/night cycle requests constantly for over three years, and I still can't find anything tangible.
I don't mean to sound like I am complaining, if I am coming off that way, I am sorry. This is an honest request. If I had any modding knowledge at all, I would attempt to make the mod myself, because I know that it is in extremely high demand. Especially for role-players like me.
EDIT: I guess it is worth adding this in. The timescale I am comfortable with for role-playing in sandbox games is usually about 1/6. That's 4 hours for one complete cycle of day and night. this is the perfect timescale for me, because I usually only game for no more than 4 hours at a time, so one sitting for me is one day in the game. It's just a really comfortable and natural pace for me.
Has anyone ever stopped to consider that conventions are more often held in the United States because of the significantly higher drinking age than literally the rest of the first-world planet?
Finally a genuinely awesome and funny video on the forum news. That 30 second potion video was total cancer, and I almost regretted being born for having watched it.

Mods won't work on cracked versions of Minecraft. It has to be a legitimately purchased copy.
