    Yeah, the 1.8.9 version also works in 1.8.8. I'm no longer updating the 1.7.x version though.

    I tried to use the 1.8.9 versions with 1.8.8 and none seem to work... On Mac or Windows. Is there a specific version for 1.8.9 that is supposed to work on 1.8.8?

    The functionality that's causing the crash is deprecated and will be removed in the next major llibrary update. You'll have to wait for the update to use the shaders.

    Ok cool! Are you going to update it also for 1.8.8?

    I understand, but there is no way of having the shaders without Optifine now that they are fused together... And Optifine doesn't seem to be the problem, it's only when I turn on the shaders that the game crashes...


    I would like to have the shaders as well as Jurassicraft, that's why I need llibrary.

    Hi iLexicon! So, I'm on a Mac, and when I install llibrary 0.6.2 for 1.8.8 (to use with Jurassiccraft), minecraft crashes when I try to turn on a shader via Optifine... Any idea why?

    Same for me! Only the vibrant shaders work, but I prefer the Basic ones! When they are selected, it only shows vanilla minecraft... I have a 2014 iMac with a GTX 780m graphics card

    I guess I'll have to wait for Apple then! What's annoying is that the shaders work well when I use minecraft on Windows in Bootcamp on my computer, but I really would rather not have to switch to windows every time I want to play!

    • 1st - The OS having support
    • 2nd - The video card having support
    • 3rd - The video driver having support
    So, you can't have one without the other. Support couldn't really be programmed into any drivers, because it wasn't at the OS level. If you haven't seen support yet, you should soon, with new drivers...

    So to clear all things up, I have an application called Opengl viewer on my mac, and it says that my craphic card ( an Ati Radeon HD 4850) supports Opengl 3.1.
    Osx Mavericks supports Opengl 4.1
    That would leave the drivers, but they are imbedded in the software updates.

    For some reasons, some Sonic Ethers version worked and others didn't. For example, K26 worked perfectly ( framerate dropped but it was not too bad) But it was impossible to use any other version after that.

    Johnny Brando, I use Magic Launcher for all my mods, do you think the OF installation should be done manually instead?

    Kixut, for the frame drop, I haven't noticed one.

    Okay, to the mac users out there, I was thrilled to find out that Mavericks would support Opengl 4.1, but when I tested Minecraft today and looked at the log, it says it's still using Opengl 2.1! Anyone knows why? I'm quite sure that the newest Sonic Shaders would work if the Shader Mod would use OpenGl 4.1, or at least 3.1 .

    I'm trying to get SEUS RC6 to work on my mac, I know it can work because I was running V08 perfectly. For the moment, all I get is the waving leaves and grass, but no shadow, no rays, no water, etc.

    Also, in Magic Launcher, it says I have 1 error in the shaders file. I know I put them in the right order : 1. optifine 1.4.6 HD A2 - 2. ShadersMod ofua2 - 3.SEUS-V10rc6.

    Okay, So I did what you said, but minecraft still doesn't start with magic launcher and I get the same error code! Plus, updating LWGL completely bugged minecraft! I updated to 2.8.3, and now the UI and every dynamic objects ( flames, horizon, mobs, water ) flash consistently when opengl is turned on, and still flash sometimes when it is turned off. Also, I cannot dynamically change the size of my minecraft window, as if autogui was completely screwed up. I have a backup of my bin folder so it's okay, but do you know why it does that? I know I copied the right files at the right places. Oh, and yes, I also updated my java version, and minecraft had no problem running with it.

    OK, this is the error log I get. The GL Error goes on indefinitely. I'm pretty sure I'm doing everything right. Everything is in the default folder, I did'nt move anything and my jar is not modded. Why is it working when I use the default launcher?

    Hi! I don't understand why, but even vanilla Minecraft won't even lauch with the Magic Launcher on my Mac. The window pops, but it stays black and no splash screen appears. Am I doing something wrong? ( Minecraft starts without a problem with the usual launcher )
