Okay, so I might get back into this and doing Realístico and Básico for the newest version. We'll see how this goes. This new file system is poop for designers.

I have tweaked my nights since v8. Now, one thing to keep in mind that if you want your nights darker, then your daylights will also be darken a bit(although looks acceptable) because there isn't any separate variables for day/night. Here's my tweaks for shaders v10 1.3.1 rc2 with TONEMAP disable, and two before/after pics:
In your final.fsh file:
#define BRIGHTMULT 1.33
#define DARKMULT 0.0
#define GAMMA 2.99
If its too dark, change the GAMMA to a lesser number since this variable makes the biggest difference.
Lorca, thank you very much. I'll be messing with it now that I know where and how. Greatly appreciated.

I love the rest, but it just feels as if it is TOO bright at night (dark). I'm using the SEUS lighting, so in theory it's darker than it would be normally, but still it's too bright.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Would the solution be in the lighting pngs? Or is it more code related? I was just hoping it's something I could tackle on my end without having to modify the entire mod. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Some times these solutions are easier than they appear, like reducing the saturation or brightness of one of the pngs...
EDIT: It's not "darkness" per se, as caves and whatnot are fine. It's really just a matter of the moonlight being too bright. Sample picture:

In order to get the water shaders, you have to turn off water animation in the animations tab inside of Optifine. So if you want to lose a few FPS while looking at water, You could try it.
Oh I've been using this mod without Optifine since I got it, and it works great. I figured it had to do something with Optifine's water management and FPS boost, but wanted to make sure since it said that it was 'required'. I've had terrible luck with Optifine's stability whenever I've tried using it, so just ended up using McPatcher and everything was good. Thanks for the help btw.
Aug 17, 2012Just a comment for anyone who cares, or can explain this further: In the OP it says that this mod REQUIRES Optifine. I'm using it on 1.3.1. without Optifine and it works great. I don't get the full water shader, instead I get a mix of the mod's water shader with the water texture from the texture pack. All the other features however work perfectly, and beautifully. Is the Optifine REQUIREMENT purely for the water shader?Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Thanks, and hope it helps. Great mod btw, gorgeous.

Aug 13, 2012Hey guys,Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Just installed this and it works great, with one exception: my sky is purple/black. I tried several things but no change, and couldn't find anyone else with a similar issue. Could I have missed/messed up something simple? Tried it with different texture packs, default texture, tried turning some of the video settings on and off, but nada. And it's a shame cause everything else is working great...just the damn purple/black sky. And no, it isn't night time
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm a shader noob. I'm using the default shaders, have an ATI HD 4850...
Aug 10, 2012So, the next step is for suggestions:Posted in: Resource Packs
Blocks that need improving?
Items that need improving?
Missing things that need to be added?
I always enjoy and value suggestions, and I've forgotten some of the ones people made after 1.2.5...so...give it a shot

Beautiful texture pack! I wish I could do things like that, but I cannot, mine usually always get unnecessarily complex, yours is just beautiful, both of them =)
Screw that! Faerielight is very nice! Thanks for the post Develsaa
