Name: SOLA Corporation

Leadership Type: There's a Board of Trustees that handles the high level stuff, but for the most part the SOLA Corporation self-governs itself.
Brief history: The SOLA Corporation was born out of a merger between two very large companies; Cyckbxr (Pronounced Zickbar) Shipbuilding, a large alien company, and Titan Tech, a large predominantly human company. Together they managed to outperform/out-sabotage the competition and grow into the massive corporation it is today.
Based in: Well, all over the place, really. The location of the Board of Trustees is a closely guarded secret known only to the Board of Trustees. As such their role is limited.
Ship count: The SOLA Corporation has thousands of small interplanetary/interstellar cargo transports, most of them leased out to independent merchants, larger transports/cargo ships number in the hundreds, and new ones are being built daily. I'll put more specific numbers eventually.
Planetary holdings: The SOLA Corporation physically owns 2 planets in their entirety, and SOLA space stations and shipyards can be found all over the galaxy.

Any military vessels/fleets: The SOLA Corporation focuses more on merchant vessels instead of war vessels, and as such the majority of SOLA's military force is made up of modified merchant ships with weapon upgrades. However, the corporation does have several purpose built warships used to defend key interests, escort valuable cargo ships, and seize liquidated property from bankrupt customers. There are also several large capital ships to be found in the SOLA Fleet, and most of the large deep space exploration vessels employed by the corporation have fearsome weaponry built in to ward off any dangers.
Other: While the full military and economic might of the SOLA Corporation is a sight to behold, it is one that is rarely seen nowadays. The sheer size of the corporation keeps it from gathering in full force. Another factor is the fact that the SOLA Corporation is currently in a period of peace, without the need to bring its full force down upon any one target.

I will be playing both as the corporation itself (in a limited sense, mind you. I'm not going to have them order a hundred super battleships to the aid of my character, that'd be silly, and the corporation doesn't have any super battleships anyways) and as a character working in the corporation. His form I'll be filling out soon too.

Also, while a large part of the corporation is human, it is by no means the only race in the corporation. Various alien species (most likely including some made by other players) make up the rest of the corporation.
