Definitely one of the best castles I've seen. I think you pulled it off quite perfectly.

I quite like it. While it's not a mega-build architecture kind of deal or anything like that, it's bright, vibrant, and cozy. Very unique.

I don't think so. This would be a great idea though, I would post this to reddit or tweet it to Jeb.

    Intro
Hi! My name is Admiral. After seeing threads like The Port of Hambeck I decided to make my own. Enjoy.

    Story
Jared Markus was a rich noble, and one who the King decided should found a city. So the King sent Jared to found a new town in the untamed wilderness. Jared gathered many men who were eager to start a new life, and set off in search of adventure.

    Part 1:
Jared and his men landed on the beach, eager to settle and start their new city. They began to chop trees and make huts and tents.
The men found an odd tree with some sort of rune under it. The tree was impervious to any type of axe, so the men left it be.
Jared started a mine using their dynamite, and they slowly started mining up stone for building and ore for selling.
After a week or so a house was built! It was a great change to huts and tents.
Jared gave one man permission to build a farm on the other side of the river. It was small, but it would grow with time.
After a while another house was built as well. These timber houses were strong, and could house many.
Jared also had the beginnings of a dock worked on, so ships could land and trade their goods. The dock would need to be strong, however, as the waves grew large and dangerous during storms.
A trader also set up a stall outside the houses. Jared smiled when he saw how eager these men were to start their own business.
Soon enough, another building's foundations were laid. The days of huts and tents were soon over!

    Part 2:
One day a boat pulled into Dawnbridge. Apparently they had been chased by some rogue ships and nearly killed! This worried Jared very much.
So Jared constructed a watch tower on a small island off shore. He positioned guards up there, so hopefully they would see any enemy ships that pulled in.
Meanwhile however, another house was finally finished! It provided room for the miners and woodcutters who were formerly living in huts.
However, Jared also needed a place to live. They needed some form of fortress to defend the town as well, so Jared began work on a castle that would double as a defensive fortress.
Jared also began to pave the ground with cobblestone, because the ground at the beach was soft, and some houses began sinking into the mud.
One wealthy trader built his house out of brick, because clay is cheap and plentiful. His red house was the talk of the town for days!
Work on the castle continued slowly. The sturdy stone walls would protect from any kind of cannon shot at it.
One man even decided to build his house to look like the castle! Jared had a good laugh about that.
Another trader even squeezed his house between the two other ones. People were very eager to build their own houses!

Next update: More houses, docks, farms, and.. magic?

    Background info
I'm using a mix of texture packs for my own personal use, including Dokucraft, Gerudoku, Johnsmith, and more.

Very nice, although 1 block = 10 inches will probably make it look huge, since 1 block is supposed to represent 1 meter.

Keep going though, it's looking nice.

Look for inspiration. Youtube, the screenshot section of this forum, and planet Minecraft are all good places to look.

Honestly, I'd bet everything in my wallet that if Minecraft or any cube game like minecraft hadn't been made, than this one wouldn't of been made either.

It's not 100% original, it no doubt took inspiration from Minecraft. But that might not be a bad thing, as long as it's not blatantly stealing from Minecraft.

Make a shrine to it. Use lava, obsidian, ingot blocks, and nether brick.

Early Beta, because Notch was still running the show. Jeb is a total retard...Purple swamps, the crappy new End, nearly-impossible-to-find nether fortresses/nether wart...

Potions/ Enchantments are about the only good thing Jeb (Unless it was Notch- I think it's Jeb) has added.

You realize Jeb has done a LOT more than Notch. A lot more than you think. Without him Minecraft would be nothing.

And the End is just supposed to be a place to fight the boss, nothing else. That's why there's nothing in it. The netherfortesses are easy to find, and what in the world is wrong with netherwart?

I like Beta and Alpha. I haven't seen too much of full yet to judge.

Make sure you're around 26 blocks away, or they won't spawn as well.
