As per the title, I am looking for a seed that has a really dense, dark forest, much like a lot of the dense forests in Europe, where you have very little light penetrating the foliage canopy. If possible, maybe a forest like that with podzel, too?
When I power the minecart with charcoal, it goes for a few seconds and then stops. It just won't go for a few minutes as it's supposed to. It's not pushing a heavy load, either, just an empty minecart. It's NOT going through a 180 pinturn.
I think I fixed it. I think my Java install was corrupted; I uninstalled and reinstalled it, and so far, no issues. Thanks for the tip, though; I'll make sure to do that next time I have any issues arise.
When I try to use "-Xms2G -Xmx2G", it gives me an error. It lets me use the minimum (Xms), but gives me an error if I set a maximum (Xms). What the hell.
Not sure why. Got the latest update, unmodded, latest Java, etc. After ten minutes, it just keeps freezing. Happens both with 1.7.9. and with the latest Snapshot. Started only a week ago, though. Also, no, I haven't done anything different other than update to the latest Java (Update 55).
EDIT: When I try to use "-Xms2G -Xmx2G", it gives me an error. It lets me use the minimum (Xms), but gives me an error if I set a maximum (Xms). What the hell.
When placing blocks, there is a short delay (half a second or so?). When removing or walking, though, everything seems fine. I remember posting a topic about this back in 1.3, and it seems this issue has been in the game since. I've seen a lot of other people having this issue, but no fix as of yet (except for one mod, but I wanna try fixing this without mods).
Anyone has any suggestions, non-mod fixes, etc. for this? Sometimes, the blocks themselves even get a bit of a lag or delay of some sort. And no, I don't install mods, so my MC install is clean.
I really like your style. I especially love the creeper and enderman, since they look like they are out of a storybook of some sorts. I'd love to see more of that.
Daylight Detectors are kind of useless, I think. They turn on/off at Light Level 4, which is a poor decision.
For lighting rooms up, for example, if you hook them up to NOT gates to light redstone lanterns up at night, they won't turn on until Light Level 4, which is stupid, because by then, monsters might already spawn in the room.
For lighting towns up, the same as above goes. And then the lights will turn off around Light Level 4, too, meaning stuff will spawn prior to sunrise.
Other than that (and for broadcasting server messages at day/night), I really don't see any reason to use these.
What do you think? :/
Edit: By the way, I am not saying I am 100% right. Maybe there are some other creative uses for them, but I haven't found any like that so far, so please don't start flaming.

Hi, there. It's been a long time since I last played Minecraft, so I am trying to set a server up, but I am having issues.
Setting the server up itself is no problem, but it seems it's ignoring my memory allocation commands for some reasons. Anyone know why?
@echo off
java -jar minecraft_server.15w42a.jar -Xmx2048M -Xms1024M -XX:PermSize=2048M
Also, when I try to run the .bat as an Admin, it does nothing. Why is that?
Thanks in advance, and sorry if I seem stupid. As I said, been a long time.

EDIT: I know strength goes down based on wire-length, but that's hard to do with rooms. As for comparators, I have no idea how to use them.
