Can someone help me. How get rid of those white dots? Its happening bc of specular PBR, but i dont know how to fix it.
This is a know issue with the textures I've made and POM. I am not updating the packs anymore mainly because R3D and S&K are not updated. Sorry for this.
What's the difference between the official R3DCraft Shader Support and this one?
I have added POM (Parallax Occlusion Mapping) that give the effect of depth and PBR (Physically Based Rendering) that makes the metal looks like metal.
OK, so I'm familiar with making normal maps and displacement maps, and I made specular maps for previous sets. But for these new PBR maps, what do the channels represent? It looks like Red is Roughness, Green is Metallic, and Blue is Emissive perhaps?
Also, I'm totally tweaking your sand to match my old sand. The trick is to throw in random pixels that are highly specular because of the bits of sand which reflect light, so it creates the slight sparkling that sand gives. Same goes for snow. It's very snowy right now, so I've noticed how snow sparkles a bit as well. Doing this in PBR won't be quite the same, but I'll see what I can do.
Quick Example albeit a bit exaggerated:
Yes, it is this. The green channel is only for metallic blocks and the blue for emissive blocks and of course you have to use a shaderpack that support these channels for PBR.
Alright, I uninstalled everything, and did it step by step.
1.) Installed OptiFine 1.10.2 HD U E3. Turned off alt blocks/connected textures.
2) Installed SEUS v11.0 into my shaders folder.
3.) Downloaded R3DCRAFT 0.3.1, PBRv2/POM 0.3.0
4.) Installed them with the pack on bottom, PBRv2 in middle, and POM on top.
I got into the game with completely default Optifine (other than previously mentioned) and I get this.
Can someone please explain why this is happening.
Also weirdly everything looks normal through water.
This is weird. It is certainly a bug with your graphic card or drivers, especially if you have an AMD card. Try to update your drivers or try another shaderpack
I cant get this to work with Spec maps. Every time i turn them on in the shaders all of the textures that would have it turn white and emit a bright light. Is it because i'm using r3dcraft 0.3.1?
This is maybe because of R3D Craft 512x and a bug with Optifine.
The adf.ly links for the x512 versions only ever show up with malware, a very specific ad that says in an automated voice "Your computer has been blocked by Microsoft" or something like that. Are there any alternate links I could use, maybe a direct link?
Try to use an adblocker if an ad.fly link is intrusive or block the download. I don't really have the time to update the thread for the moment.
WHAT THE **** WITH THE AD SITES FOR THE DOWNLOAD LINKS - GET A DROPBOX ACCOUNT PLEASE - sorry for the caps.
I use ad.fly because it is often used to support Minecraft projects. I never had a problem with the ads in ad.fly sorry if these ads were intrusive for you (I am aware of the problem for some people) but I can hardly do something about it and don't really have the time to move all my files and links.
Continuum Shaders are still available, however the PBR version seems to be discontinued but they work on another shaderpack with PBR support called Ebin Shader (available on their website).

You need to download the base R3D resource pack before using my add-ons.
There is a button with a link in the thread.

The S&K pack does not support all the blocks.

You need to download the Realistic pack first and then use my addons.

You need to change the texture resolution in your shader pack.

Everything is explained as clearly as I can in the instruction at the end of the thread.

Thank you

The screenshots were taken in high resolution (with Optifine shader settings).

All download links work. Try to disable your ad blocker if you have one.
