Bug: The large map render is drawn on top of the items in your inventory bar. This still happens on 2.2.5
could u give me a screenshot of what you mean by this?
i will keep the requests in mind when i start adding new features to the mod. atm we are only maintaining it.
Here's two screen shots. The first shows the issue not happening because the map angle is parallel with the screen/UI. The second shows the map square overlapping into the inventory at the bottom of the screen as the angle causes it to cut across.
Splendid update you've distributed there. 2.2.5 seems to have fixed the sun/star/sky rendering issues. I'm also liking the new options menu that actually saves settings (the old official one never seemed to). A few of the other bugs mentioned recently (odd block textures appearing in maps) also appears to be resolved, and I've noticed the map view on the whole producing much more accurate/reliable images.
Thank you for that update.
There appears to be a different bug or two: (sorry to be a pain)
f you join a server, disconnect, then join a different one, the waypoints from the 1st server you were playing on are used. Restarting Minecraft fixes this.
I've also done some redraws of various areas. The redraw appears to be fine for the current and further out zoom levels, but if you zoom in it's common to get large undrawn chunks.
Edit: It looks like redrawn chunks don't get written to disk. They appeared fine at first, but after reconnecting those chunks are black again.
If there is time for some low priority stuffs in the future I would like to refer to a post I made some time ago. (super low priority though)
Bug: Minimap position setting saves as unchanged if you set it to top right.Fixed
Bug: Background mode setting saves as static if you set it to panning (re-join a world/server then open the full screen map to see this).Fixed

Request: Could markers be displayed in first person? Rei/Voxel shows a coloured diamond with a configurable label (none, name only, and name + distance), obviously make it optional.
Request: A marker list editor would be very helpful, being able to edit markers including their name, position, group, and colour in one form (rather than a series of individual input boxes) -- similar to Rei/Voxel.
Request: Remember the zoom level last used in the full screen map.
Thanks again for your work on the updates you've given us.
Is it normal that the MP world save folders no longer store the port number after the address? I noticed after updating to 2.2.4 that the map was completely fresh for my server, of which I have been using for years. I checked my MP saves folder to find that a new folder had been created for the same address but without a port number (it uses the default 25565 port). Deleting the newly created folder and removing "_25565" from the folder names got my maps back.
I have also noticed that clicking Options in the full screen map view no longer opens the options menu.
Thanks for the update though. The flickering has gone for me too, plus a few other rendering bugs are fixed with this release. (sun/moon no longer has a black background, sky colour is always correct, etc)
Are you officially maintaining Map Writer now? Good news if you are.
Edit: Looks like the rendering issues are still present when the map is displayed.
Granite, andesite, and diorite will appear as stone if you have connected textures enabled (fast or fancy) due to a file name issue. In path "assets\minecraft\mcpatcher\ctm\stone" I renamed "block1.properties" to "stone.properties", then these 3 fancier stone blocks appeared as normal.
Unsure if we're allowed to do this, but here is a modified ZIP of the resource pack for 1.7 with this fix for 1.8. Completely unofficial.
Hey _zombiehunter, thanks for the pack. I really like it Particularly the sound effects you've slipped in there, that realistic thunder sound gave me quite a surprise on my 5.1 surround sound.
This is one of the few resource packs I'll be sticking with.
Thanks for this fantastic mod. I've now replaced Rei's / Voxel map for it, though there are a few features/bugs I've come across worth mentioning:
Bug: Minimap position setting saves as unchanged if you set it to top right.
Bug: Background mode setting saves as static if you set it to panning (re-join a world/server then open the full screen map to see this).

Still, big thanks for this mod. It's certainly the best map mod I've come across.
Hello. Is there any word if those 3 bugs made their way into the to-do list?

**** Bukkit dev build for 2.0-alpha-1 now supports Bukkit/Spigot 1.7.10 ****
Once again, this is lightly tested, but should work for 1.7.10, while continuing to work for earlier (1.4.7 or later) servers.
Hi there, is your development build for Bukkit 1.7.10 available on-line yet? I tried your head build (1024) and it disables itself due to unsupported platform on load.
Dynmap is disabled (unsupported platform)
CraftBukkit is version git-Bukkit-1.7.9-R0.2-16-g37c7969-b3105jnks (MC: 1.7.10) (Implementing API version 1.7.10-R0.1-SNAPSHOT) -- obtained today.

Map area you've explored: Nope, JourneyMap only keeps images -- not raw chunks.
Markers: You'd probably have to do it by hand.

I concur. Very pleased to see this continuing seriously.

Other than that 3rd party update I did for 1.8 I doubt it.

If you do that please post the new thread URL. I'd like to subscribe to it.

^ Waypoints are already in there, but you can only see them on the map. (not in first person)
I too would rather like a first person waypoint view though, in the style of Rei's minimap.

That's good to hear. There are already lots of cheaty radars about, nice to see this one will be remaining more pure.
