The list is pretty much over with no games .what even is cookie clicker?

Clicking speed is a pointless skill in any fps game i've ever seen, since most weapons are automatic or have a cooldown.

Try and google jitter clicking. Surprising, eh? every single result is related to minecraft.

I don't see how accuracy (which is way more important in 1.9 because of cooldowns) is in any way related to clicking speed btw.

Try and put more logic and less bias into your posts if you wanna give a positive contribute to this discussion.

Regarding the new changes: Longer fights always result in skill being a more important aspect of the game since there's less space for stealth attacks and more to adaptation.

Other than accuracy we also got timing now, both for attacking and for blocking with shields (love how you can disable your opponent's sword by blocking in time).

Worth mentioning getting the first hit and a consequent combo (which mainly depended on ping rather than clicking speed, lol) doesn't give you a certain win anymore.

Reminds me a lot of mount'n blade, i like it.

I see you decided to not read the rest of the discussion that was had. I realized I worded it poorly, and rephrased my opinion. Try and read the whole thread if you wanna give a positive contribution to the discussion. Also, cookie clicker is a literal clicker game. It was sarcasm.

Perhaps the fact that ping will no longer have any impact will be a huge difference. Maybe this combat will be better. I do not know yet. My post was simply to point out that 1.8 combat was not what everyone was saying it was. Also, servers with a good player base and anti-cheat should prevent all jitter clicking, hacking, yada yada.

Well according to most PvP'ers I've seen, it means the exact opposite. If you can "Jitter click like a pr0", they seem to all treat it like it's physically impossible to have good aim, and treat that as a separate skill. Moving your mouse faster isn't that hard, either, even with a low sensativity, just nudge your hand a little.

I don't exactly understand what you're saying about the connection between clicking fast and aiming. And the point was not solely fast mouse movement. Clearly anyone can move their mouse. The point was, in a shooter, you turn a corner. Now, how fast can you adjust to the enemy's head and click simultaneously.

I relate that ability to clicking. If you can spam your sword faster than your opponent, yet still make contact every time, you win.The ability to do this I feel would also mean you are decent at shooter games. If you're good at pre 1.9 sword combat, you can probably be good at shooters. If you're good at shooters, you can probably be good at Minecraft PvP.

I could entirely be wrong. But, from my point of view, the fights I have won are the fights where my opponent either doesn't strike as fast as me, spams his swings all over the place, or both.

The new 1.9 pvp is a better skills than *click click click click* and not to mention everyone is not a fast clickers.

Old combat required the ability to strafe, while still sprinting, and landing every possible hit. If you wanted to win fights, you had to be able to play at a very high speed. Fast clicking is what makes you good at computer games.

I've yet to be able to experience the new update in multiplayer pvp, as the server I play on does not update for a few more days. But, my thinking is, how are you going to tell me that fights are better if I can use a healing potion between every swing?

Maybe this new combat is in fact better. But I immediately ignore the comments of those who say old combat was easy and just *click click click*. If you've ever played on an actual PvP server, you would know this is false. My feeling is that the people who say this simply are not good at combat, and so they dislike it. Maybe I am wrong, but these are my thoughts.

    Quote from Hexalobular»

Having a sticky piston push a solid block into the beam ought to turn it off.

And pulling the block back out would turn the beacon back on.

I meant for the beam to be hidden but the effects to still be active

posted a message on Minecraft 1.2.4 PvP survival/factions server! 173.231.3.39
Even though I haven't been on(server is full), I have checked out the website and this looks a very well run server. Good plugins, fair rules, no ******** about donators never getting banned(getting really tired of that, and I've seen multiple servers fall because of it), and the website and donations themselves are well set up and well-rounded. Seems like it'll be a great experience.

I knew that there will be people like this, it should be made togable option, then anyone will be happy!

*cough* change difficulty *cough*. "BUT I WANNA PLAY ON HARD!" Then learn to deal with zombies breaking down your damn door.

Heres a solution: Put blocks infront of your door. Problem solved. Or iron or piston doors.

posted a message on Minecraft Has Become Ugly
It truly has. And, Minecraft was never "Beautiful" to begin with. But, it was in it's own category of splendor. It just...looked fantastic. It is blocky, yes, but fantastically blocky.

However, the worlds just look, honestly, terrible now. The mountains and landscape just look dead. I remember when I looked at the old Glacier seed, and would be amazed by the bright and vibrant landscape, filled with trees and waterfalls. Nowadays, you will find these moderately large mountains(Speaking of that, mountains themselves are also quite shitty. They aren't abstract and humongous and sprawling and connection. It just looks like an average mountain) with the occasional tree. No bright colors, no wonderfully large waterfalls. All the new shades of grass and new shades of leaves are great and all, but it honestly just looks terrible right now. I miss the old splendor of Glacier and other large mountain seeds. The different shades don't really blend together well all that often, and are just lacking life. I'm all for the new shading and lighting and trying to make things look better and more realistic. But, I just want the good-old epic worlds back. I basically made this thread to vent, and to hear others opinions. Post below w/ your opinion of the look of current seeds.
