Wow..turning on V-Sync stopped it...how though? I don't get why that would be causing it.
When your in menu's your PC can push abnormal amounts of frames. The problem is that heats up your GPU, and the fans will go into overdrive. But I thought they capped menu's at 30 after adding the new login screen, people where reporting unusual noises just like yours.
I don't understand why people go and buy 'gaming' keyboards for $50+ when they only have membrane keys, if your going to spend a bit of money on a keyboard get a mechanical one, they are so good and you will never look back.
I loved the mountain biomes in Beta_1.7, they were really breathtaking, I even still have one world saved from 1.7, but it doesn't have villages or anything because they weren't implemented yet.
One of my closer friends gave me a code way back in alpha, but I only played it once and didn't really like it. Anyway, the rest of my friends started a small server when beta came out, so I started playing on their server so we could all play a game together, plus by then I was getting a bit sick of DoTA as nobody wanted to play it with me any more, since then I have probably bought about ten other codes for other friends/family so we can all join in on the fun.
I think adf.ly is broken or something, could you maybe put a mirror link for times when this happens. I would love for you to get your money, but, it's not working xD...
