Food groups were not deprecated; they were moved to a JSON-based configuration system and given way more options. Read the comment in the .cfg file and look at /config/SpiceOfLife/example-food-group.json. You can see a real-world example of food groups being used in a mod pack here: https://github.com/UndeadZeratul/ThereWillBeBlood/tree/master/common/base/config/SpiceOfLife
Out of curiosity, why did you think they had been deprecated?
It was my mistake, but was looking through your GitHub source code and there was a @Deprecated annotation above the foodgroup section in the "ModConfig" file. I had made a bunch of foodgroup .json files already, and it kept deleting any entries I put under the "foodgroups" section in the main configuration file. As such, I thought it might have been removed, but I just looked at the modpack you linked, and I realize now that it auto-reads in the foodgroups in that folder. The only part that is deprecated was the "foodgroup" section of the main configuration file. My bad.
I must just be doing something wrong in my json files, since it's not showing a tooltip on the different groups like I told it to. 90% sure it's because I don't have the right foods being added to each group. Any idea on where to find the list for all the forge ore dictionary food references? The ones that you put under "oredict"?
Edit-To clarify what I mean by the ore dictionary list, I know there are some in the Forge dev kit, but how would I find out ones added by other mods without having to examine every mod's source code?
