I block off an entire area and fully light it up with torches, and then I start building my house. I don't have a little shack right now, unless you count the sun roof to my mine, just the begins of a wall.

I see what you mean now. My sticky-keys went crazy and I walked into my mine shaft. I had one heart left, and the iron wasn't damaged at all. O_OAnd now I see what you mean. I'm usually not a good miner really, even since 1.3, but I don't know, right now I went spelunking and got 80+ iron.

Well I usually use almost all of my surplus iron to make a huge railway.

Also I don't think that battles are all that hard. It's like 2 hits with an iron sword and they're dead.

I just find it a bit useless, honestly. This is my first time, legit using iron armor, and a full set at that.

It's just, the idea of it. You use up like 36 iron ingots on the set. Then it doesn't fully protect you, and then it just breaks.

What's really the point in it?

What do you think of this? I know it's an odd question, but it's been bugging me all day.
Is that a good thing? I mean, that would mean they're confident enough to bet on it, and it gives them a bigger motive to win. That also could mean, that they think they could lose, meaning they're not 100% confident.

I am ALMOST thinking of copying the old Alpha terrain code, and making it usable for 1.0
If anybody does do it, That would be amazing. Nobody does it, I might do it myself.
OT: I do too miss that feel. I wish i could have that amazing feel of when i first bought the game, making tree houses, putting up signs, never knowing what was going to come after me. Seeing amazing landmarks, figuring out that there were actually spiders, making boat docks on every "island" within my distance, exploring.

After this long battle between ghasts and blazes, the ghasts have won.

They're not exactly the most peaceful group and don't intend to be very merciful.
After their rampage you manage to go into a a small forest like area surrounded by enclosing trees.

There are many more mechanics to the game, I'm not even sure If I did this right, because this is my first adventure map.

So you might spawn with a couple hundred levels worth of XP...

However, this should be very fun if I did it correctly.
