    So someone was suggesting I find a mod team willing to make this suggestion a mod (and maybe later implemented into minecraft.) Anyone think they're willing to take on this challenge?

    I was thinking the appearence could be something like a square bucket thats as big as a block and when full it would be filled with water and if in a snowy place ice (if you can do that.)

    3. By adding a bucket of ice you are introducing two separate ideas. This isn't huge, but it is a common flaw when suggesting an idea to throw some unnecessary things in. Buckets of ice are a cool idea on their own and I can some cool ideas coming out of it though, so this isn't huge.

    And the bucket though already has alot of uses but it wouldn't explain the redstone power.

    Eh, I guess. I know the redstone forums wanted this for sometime now though so they must have tons by now. One thing could be instead of people having roofs over farms and pistons pull the roof off. Or something in the diamond mines it tells you to go fishing. There are more uses just gotta be creative.
