This might not be the right place to post this but I didn't find any posts of anyone having the same problem I am.

I put the files from the runecraft.rar into the server.jar, however when I try to run the .jar file it opens and then immediately closes.

Yes I have java installed. The .exe works fine however since this wont work with the exe i'm stuck till I can get the .jar to run. I have run basic servers fine, just never tried to run the jar. I even tried running it from command prompt but it does the same thing of opening for a millisecond, not even long enough to read whats in the server console, and then closing as soon as its opens.

It won't work right now whatsoever until an update comes out. Read the posts, not just the description.

Be nice Abikai, it's his first post.

Asai- That problem is the result of using the newest server with the old Runecraft. The updated Runecraft files will be out soon, hopefully. Until then, sit tight. It shouldn't be long. :smile.gif:

Oh I didn't realize how condescending I sounded lol. Sorry about that. I was just trying to give a pointer :happy.gif:

Major problem with MCadmin right now is that it crashes you if you are near a creeper that explodes. Everything else would be fine, but this is the biggest pain in my ass right now! Any fix on this would be amazing! Also, Toxicated, I blame MCadmin for taking your rank away, wasnt me! :SSSS:

This may or not be a problem with MCAdmin itself, I haven't ran vanilla to test it but I get an invalid packet error when tnt or a creeper blows up now.

Mine crashes as soon as you log in. Giving up on MCAdmin for now as the server has been completely unstable for a while now.

mines running fine, ive never ran my server with anything but MCAdmin since it came out in junction with hey0 and runecraft and several plugins. Its the most stable as its ever been right now.

I am now having problems with the server taking my 2.5ghz quad core all the way up to 90% usage and only using 500 meg of ram when its configured to use 1500. This issue has only started happening recently, I will donate if that is what it takes to get this bug out. After it is fixed, expect a donation.

    Reboot.

reboot? Like reboot the pc that the server is running on? I really doubt that would have any effect on it.

I actually tried to edit my post to explain, but this forum is funky and it didn't take.

First of all, if you read up, there's someone *on this page* who had the same problem as you. He rebooted and it got rid of it (and moved him onto the problem that the rest of us are having).

Second, if you read the error, it seems to indicate that the port is already in use. ie: another instance of the server (or some other application) is already using the port..

Right and that's what I understood but I closed the processes javaw.exe and mcadmin.exe so how could those ports continue to be in use? I will go ahead and reboot and see if that resolves the issue but it just doesn't make sense to me how it would.

My server does this anytime anyone tries to break a block. It has rendered my server completely nonoperational. I appreciate the help though, thanks for hearing us out on the bugs.

Great tool :smile.gif: But I just tried playing after the update broke everything (on my own server), grabbed a sword, hit another player... instantly get kicked ''Dont use hax, fag''. Lolwut?

Well obviously the creator of McAdmin still has some ILLEGAL virsues on your computer that make all kinds of PvP and PvE against "server" (mcadmin's hacking creator's) rules.

MCADMIN GIVES YOU VIRUSES> HE CAN HACK YOU AND OVERRIDE ANYTHING YOU DO.
SO HE CAN BAN YOU FROM YOUR OWN SERVER. HE JUST BANNED WEAPONS FROM A PVP SERVER. WHATS NEXT, BANNING DIRT FROM A DIRT-ONLY SERVER?!

*Guys McAdmin is bad news. He hacked our computers so he could ban you from your own server and edit files on YOUR computer at ANYTIME HE WANTED.
    He can still do it.
Spread the word. McAdmin is not to be trusted. At all.
    End of story.*

    u jelly

No but really, this error is happening randomly,

You can however run hey0 with MCAdmin. Then you would be able to use hey0s item command. Just don't specify the item amount as -1...

Sounds interesting. How do you do it?

You make a new folder in your mods folder in the directory where MCAdmin.exe is and extract all the files out of hey0s minecraft_mod.jar with winrar and put them into that folder. then, add a plugins= parameter to your server.properties and make sure NOT TO OPEN SERVER PROPS. through MCAdmin or it will take your hey0 strings out of it. once you run hey0, you will need to go through manually and add everyone who plays on your server to the hey0 users.txt and give them the proper clearence to use commands and what not that are added by your plugins.

Also, does anyone have the issue with MCAdmin just randomly going nonresponsive and crashing? I am running windows 7 64 bit with 8 gig of ram and a 2.5ghz quad core. Thanks.

To prove most of you to be wrong again, Hey0 has a plugin called Server Port, makes portals work as they are supposed to do...

I don't want to install a mod just to make the game work the way it is SUPPOSED to. I want Notch to fix it. Mods are getting outrageously ridiculous. I don't won't to rely on mods to solve bugs that should be fixed by the owner. Notch needs to fix Portals on his own.

When ever Notch fixes something, it's really buggy or it introduces new bugs. And yes, the game is alpha, but I'd rather use something that really works and not wait for Notch.

I know, it's just kinda sad that people have to rely on mods, or in this case, hey0, a 15-year old, to fix everything, when Notch, an advanced coder, can't do it himself.
To be fair, hey0 doesn't make the plugins. He only made a server mod that allows for java based plugins.

thats not a glitch, thats just how the servers have always given items to players.

Not true. Upon entering a similar command in hMod, the item appears in your inventory.

    In hMod, yes. Not McAdmin.

Thanks for reiterating. As I said before, "Any word on when that will be fixed?" Also, answering my previous questions would be great.
I don't know if that is looked upon as a glitch. This was how the vanilla servers (unmodded) handle giving items to players so it may remain unchanged.

You can however run hey0 with MCAdmin. Then you would be able to use hey0s item command. Just don't specify the item amount as -1...
