    Lowering the floor by one block has given me a lot more room to work with already. I'd like to leave the exterior as it is (except replacing the ugly orange wool) so I think down is the way to go!

    There's a desert temple very near to my newly built ranch with an extensive cave system under it. I'd like to remodel it to include a portal room, an enchanting station, and maybe some smelting and storage space for what I haul out of the caves below. Any suggestions, links, or videos for a desert temple remodel?

    I can't get a wand of the adept for some reason. I have everything set up correctly (infusion altar with crucible near by, charged wands, etc.) but it won't let me craft the wand. Is this a bug? I've been able to craft it in a previous version of Thaumcraft.

    The thaumometer isn't working for me either. The crystal in the middle doesn't spin. I thought maybe that was just because I'm far away from anything magical.

    Chain armor is as durable as iron but offers less protection--about the same as gold armor. So essentially, it's for looks only. I think things are fine right now where you can only get it as rare drops from mobs.

    I ran into this issue too. I think comparators can only receive input from actual blocks that contain items. My workaround was to use a comparator to see when a hopper was empty and then send a signal to a powered rail (you have to invert the signal with a torch). A little bulky, and maybe not exactly what you're looking for.

    Yes they are slow, but now with hoppers, they are a legitimate way to transport goods long distance automatically. When the chest cart gets to the end, you can have it be automatically unloaded. Granted, you can do fancier things with redstone in terms of automating this process, but the redstone update makes these furnace carts slightly less lame.

    By who? Whoever is calling them "moster eggs" is making things very confusing since there are already spawn eggs for all the mob types in creative mode. Also, blocks are not egg shaped.

    This is kind of a cool idea. I can't think of any other blocks that are different depending on the tool you mine them with (other than silk touch tools).

    I have one of these and it works fine. Go light up the caves under the ocean and you'll get better rates.

    Etho's latest LP episode shows a great way to turn portals on and off easily. You can hook it up to a timer (as he suggests) to have the portal shut off shortly after you return from the nether.

    In the first tweet you linked, he says he is putting the new mob on HOLD while he is working on something else that was an old but popular suggestion.

    I am not upgrading until SPC, OptiFine, TMI, and Millénaire are updated for 1.3. I can do without the other mods. You're probably wondering "Why SPC?" To whom I say:
    1.) SPC likely has more commands then what it's allowing.
    2.) So I can use the commands on already-created worlds.


    Ok. Cool.
