So, I was almost out of health and I wanted to sleep through the night instead of just hiding in my house. I craft up a quick bed, and set it down. I right click and my screen half-fades, instead of completely fading. Then my character ends up jumping out of bed and there's a right next to me. I get killed. I charge back in, and start killing him with my shovel. I right click again to see what's going on, and a spawns right next to my bed. It started getting weird, especially after I right clicked again and another spawns next to me. I look out and realize this all happened in the same night.
"When slimes were first introduced, they spawned at a very high rate. This caused Notch to limit slime spawning. However, it appears that he incorrectly calculated slime spawning, leading slimes to spawn only in strange locations. This eventually caused Notch to completely disable natural slime spawning until Beta 1.2_01. It is a fact that the slimes files are still in the game and are spawnable, with third party modifications or software."

Doesn't this mean that they should be back? I can't find any.
It says they spawn below "Level 16 or below in large spaces".
I TNT'd a large area at the bedrock, and closed it off.
I have not seen one yet.
I like the challenge of starting at the bottom of the map with nothing, but the generator leaves a floor-less space on two sides of the square area it makes as defined herein:
var MapSize = 200;
//fill bottom with bedrock
map.fillBlocks(0, MapSize, 0, 1, 0, MapSize, blockTypes.Bedrock);
// set player position and spawn point (in this case, equal)
map.spawn = { x: 5, y: 5, z: 5 };
map.playerLocation = map.spawn;
Sure, it's easy to use blocks to fill that in, but it's a BIG area to fill once I've even gotten enough blocks and the tools to harvest them. Is it something I did wrong?
It doesn't generate in chunks already containing ground, change 200 to 192 or 256 so that it snaps to chunks.

What you need for a double not gate:
2 solid blocks
2 sticks
3 redstone dusts
What you need for a redstone repeater:
3 cobblestones
2 wooden planks (for smelting)
2 sticks
3 redstone dusts
Now, I think that double not gates are more efficient, but redstone repeaters are more space saving. Which one do you prefer?
<-- crude illustration of a double not gate
= redstone torch
= redstone dust
= any solid block

Could anyone give me a quick tutorial or guide?
If you could, then for you.
