But did it ever work? It complains about LomLib not being present even though it is, so it must have never worked even when you were supporting it.
I highly doubt that you still support 1.6, but I can't update for various reasons, but I would really like some help. (Obviously, there's nothing saying you have to help but I can't think of anything to do if you don't)
So I seem to have a problem with Elemental Creepers and your other mod, Gels+, being sort of incompatible. I have Elemental Creepers 4.0.1 and Gels+ 1.2.0. You probably don't remember, but a long time ago, when 1.6 was still a recent Minecraft version, you told me that there was a bug with Gels plus and LomLib 1.1.0, and that updating to 1.2.0 would fix it. Well, it did, but then there was a problem with Elemental Creepers, saying that the minimum version of LomLib required was 1.1.0. I have no idea why it wouldn't load, as it said minimum, and obviously 1.2.0 comes after 1.1.0, but Elemental creepers worked by itself when I downgraded to LomLib 1.1.0, but then of course, Gels+ wouldn't work. So I can't seem to have both mods at the same time, as they seem to only want to work with one version of LomLib, and each likes a different version.
I would really appreciate it if you took some time to help me out, as I would love to have both mods installed at the same time on my 1.6 world. If you do help, Thank you in advance!
Did you manage to get it to work? I don’t have Gels+, yet ElementalCreepers still gives the LomLib error. (I do understand your frustration though; I have the same issue with Coros’ Weather and HostileWorld requiring different and incompatible versions of Coros’ library mods… but it’s worse because they have the same version.)
Fortunately, since I don’t use Gels+, I can get it to work by using LomLib 1.1.
The problem is that the ElementalCreepers mod requires the class LomLibCore 1.1.0+ which is present in LomLib 1.1.0, but not in LomLib 1.2.0. In fact, it’s missing a bunch of files compared to 1.1.0.
If you still want to use ElementalCreepers and Gels+ in 1.6.4, then it is possible, but requires a little work:
- Extract the contents of Elemental_Creepers-universal-4.0.1.jar
- Open net\lomeli\ec\ElementalCreepers.class in a hex-editor
- Find the line "required-after:[email protected][1.1.0,) at offset 0xD5
- Delete the Core, so that it says "required-after:[email protected][1.1.0,)
- Change the double-quote before required from 0x22 to 0x1E (it is the length of the string minus the 4 cut in the previous step)
- Save the file
- Re-zip the contents
Now everything should work (it did when I tested it).
Hope that helps.
