You're not a noob when you have been playing the game for a few weeks.

Food, logs, dirt or cobble, torches, pickaxe, shovel, a sword.

I just find a cave and go in it.

If you want, just downgrade to the version that you like.

I feel like trying this, but in alpha. I'll see how it goes.

This was on the easy difficulty.

This is cool. Now I feel like making my own one.

Hearing some kind of mob in a cave, but no matter where you look, it never seems to be anywhere.

When I was playing xbox version at my friends house, I made a house, but I didn't have any resources, so I went out. Bad idea. It became night, and lots of mobs were chasing me, and when I got to the house, it was filled with zombies. I rage quit.

I will use this the next time I build. I usually just have a cube wooden house or use a village house.
