((I'm really sorry, guys. I've been really busy lately with school and all. I can reply now and see if we can bring this back, but I doubt we can.))

Corporal Veland strapped the girl into the contraption, explaining to the trainees where each clip went. When he was finished, he made his way toward the side of the apparatus.

"Now, I'm going raise her, and you'll all get to see just how it difficult it actually is to maintain balance when suspended in 3DM gear." He worked the lever, slowly lifting the trainee off her feet.

Aera watched as Lilabel, who seemed quite nervous, waited for something to happen. It didn't take very long for the girl to no longer be touching the ground, and Aera observed how Lilabel reacted.

((I'll try to make this go as quickly as it can, but I don't think we can just skip training. I guess we could, but there are some people (Lexi and me) who kind of want to do the training. I guess it's been a while before I started rping here again, and I'm still sort of used to the older rps that could be hundreds of pages long. I also think a lot of people may be busy, and that's why it seems that so many people have left.))

Aera headed out to the field, scanning the recruits. It was remarkable how people who were strangers just yesterday were already familiar to her, and she was beginning to recognize some other faces she'd seen in various places around the camp.

It was hardly a minute after Aera arrived that Corporal Veland began speaking again.

"Okay trainees! You will begin your training by learning how to use 3-Dimensional Maneuver gear, or 3DM gear, for short. Just to give you a taste of what the gear is like, I'll take a volunteer to go first, as a demonstration." He scanned the crowd, having no intentions to use a willing candidate,

His eyes fell on a very pale girl with light features. He didn't recall seeing her before, but he thought she would do.

"How about you?" The corporal practically shouted, now standing next to the girl.

((Yoooo, I'm back. Umm, I don't really have anything against romance, and in fact, I think it tends to make rp's more interesting, but please, for the love of all that is good, at least make it realistic. I agree that it certainly makes no sense to suddenly be making out with someone you've known for a day. I understand you want you're characters to be in a relationship, but you'll have to wait a while until your characters have known each other long enough for it to be realistic.

Since it appears we're just killing time here, in the rp, I'll start the training.))

Aera tried to not let her imagination get too active over why the two girls suddenly left without an explanation, but when they got back, they seemed a bit embarrassed about something. It was none of Aera's business, so she ignored it. She stared into her empty cup and sighed. The headache, while dulled, was still unmistakeably there.

Corporal Veland entered the mess hall with the same stern look on his face that he always wore.

"Alright, recruits," he began in a shout, "everyone has to be out in the field in 5 minutes." Since that was all, he promptly left without another word.

((I also like Oswald! I feel like, even though he's a total jerk, it really makes the rp more interesting to have a more bully-like character.))

Aera was about to pursue Oswald further until she realized it was pointless. There were many more things she could say to him, but it almost seemed as if he was already fully aware of everything she would say. It was a shame, though. Even though his actions were inexcusable, he seemed very confused and lonely. For him to feel responsible to treat the recruits like this, almost as if he, himself, was training them to be a certain way despite how unnecessary it was, was pretty unfortunate.

Aera looked down at her tight clothing, surprised at how Oswald hadn't insulted her. Perhaps, she hadn't done anything to bother him. Perhaps, he didn't see any point in bullying her. She watched as he walked off, appearing not to be heading anywhere in particular, and Aera's headache reappeared. With a yawn. she headed back towards the mess hall and made a cup of coffee. She cringed when drinking it. The coffee there was the mildest coffee she'd ever had, and she was beginning to regret adding cream to it, but, hopefully, it would cure her of the reoccurring pain in her head.

She scanned the room for anyone she knew from the day before. Lilabel was sitting with Xaya and a few other familiar faces, so Aera decided to sit there. Maybe, she'd be able to befriend a few people, too.

Aera silently watched the whole fight occur, if one could call it that. Someone had to get that man under control. While she supposed that aggressive behavior was good for fighting titans, the rest of the trainees would seem weak if they just allowed him to treat them like that.

Even though she hadn't finished breakfast, curiosity caused her to decide to throw the rest out and walk out of the mess hall. She normally didn't wake up so early, so she wasn't that hungry, anyway.

Oswald wasn't too far away from the mess hall, but Aera hadn't any idea as to where he was headed. A part of her knew there was a lot about her he could bully her about, but she took the risk anyway. With a sigh, she sprinted to catch up to him.

"You know," she began when she arrived beside him, "not everyone who joins training dies at the hands of a titan, but if you keep treating people like this, it is very likely no one will save you when you do find yourself in that situation."

((But the boys and the girls are in separate dorms...))

Everyone was scrambling out of their beds to change, Aera among them. A faint, unexpected ache began inside her head, and she squinted her eyes until it drifted away momentarily. There were not enough drawers for all the girls in the dorm, so she had to rummage through the one with her clothes to find what was hers and not someone else's. After a few seconds, she finally found the tight, black shirt she wore the day before, and, shortly after, she found her cream-colored bra as well. She left her uniform items on her bed when she went to sleep because she was worried she wouldn't be able to distinguish the pants, belts, and apron from the other girls', and she knew she wouldn't be able to fit into anyone else's pants or apron; she could hardly fit into her own.

Aera glanced around the room to make sure no one was watching her change, and then she slipped off her nightgown and tossed it into the drawer before putting on the bra, sucking her stomach in the entire time. Rapidly and violently, she pulled her shirt over her head, and could then breathe. It must have taken her at least 5 minutes, which would leave her only 5 minutes more to change into the rest of her clothes. As she already knew, it wasn't enough time.

While ignoring the subtle headache that returned, Aera struggled to get into her tight, white pants. After zipping and buttoning them, she stared at the belts. She recalled how difficult it was to buckle them all alone the day before, but she hardly knew anyone here and felt it would be inappropriate to request assistance. With a sigh, she grabbed them, examining the belts as if they were foreign. Once she located the foot area, she began to attire herself in the complex structure.

((If we're all up for a timeskip, I suppose I can do it.))

Seeing as she was done eating, Aera took care of her plate and headed towards her dorm, going over the names in her head. The two people that were eating with her were in her dorm, but she wasn't familiar with any of her other roommates. She didn't know what to expect when she got there, but she found that the people were fairly normal, and most of them were already asleep. Not even realizing the time until then, she yawned, suddenly aware of her exhaustion. The day went by quickly, and she was grateful to be able to slip into her nightgown and go to sleep...

"Wake up!" A jarring voice called out. Aera's eyes fluttered open instantly. Standing in the doorway was a muscular woman who appeared to have some high position in the camp.

"Breakfast is in ten minutes," she continued. Following the moans and groans of teenagers hesitant to get out of bed, Aera sat up and rubbed her eyes. The sun was not even out, and she had to wonder how much sleep she had gotten. After the woman slammed the door, ensuring everyone was frightened awake if they weren't already, Aera planted her feet on the ground, thinking about how much she would like to take a bath. The lady was insane to believe everyone could get into uniform in ten minutes.

((Ah, yes. Thank you for pointing that out. I'm surprised I didn't notice the typo sooner.))

Aera's eyes widened when Xaya offered her bread to her. However, the charred bread didn't taste too good without the soup, which Aera had already finished. In addition to not particularly wanting to get more, she also wasn't all too hungry since she'd already eaten what she initially took. Not only that, but she was worried what others would think if they saw her eating more than everyone else was, especially because she was already getting stares. She simply didn't belong here, but that wasn't going to stop her. If the worst thing to happen to her at the camp was receiving glares from the other trainees and the corporals, then it wasn't as bad as she'd anticipated.

Aera declined the offer, shaking her head, "no thanks."

Immediately after, even almost interrupting Aera, corporal Veland's booming voice filled the whole room, and everyone went silent, practically instantaneously.

"Alright! In a few minutes, you will all be heading to your dorms. The list is as follows: Dorm 1 will have Laraine Becke, Sky Dusk, Aera Héderváry, Xaya Karatai, Lilabel Kohlen, Flore Noctis, Eddie Sharp, and Edythe Sheridan. Dorm 2 will have: Forrest Jonassen, Theodore Kartofel, Haruki Keiji, Kirill Lyubimtsev, Oswald Rothschild, and Alden Trent . Dorm 3 will have:" he went on, but Aera zoned out, as she had already heard the dorm she was in and no longer needed to listen.

((EDIT: I accidentally mistook Daniel Gray as a recruit at first, but I've removed him from the dorm list now. Sorry about that.))

((D: Zix, when you're character interacts with our characters, please give us an opportunity to react in the future. Because Lexi and I didn't have a chance to decline/accept the fistbump, so it was powergaming when you made our characters ignore it.

Also, I think we should wait for Mr. Sheep, and if he's not on tomorrow, we can assign the dorms then.))

Aera watched the ephemeral brawl take place right in front of her. It reminded her of the bar fights she witnessed often back at the inn, only she had a better view of this than she did of those. She couldn't help but wonder, though, where were the corporals while all this was happening?

"I'm Aera," she told the girl. She glanced at Lilabel, and, upon remembering how shy she was, continued, "this is Lilabel." Aera brought the bowl of soup up to her lips and drank the rest, attempting to ignore the taste, since she had already finished her bread.

"That was pretty impressive," she offered a slight smile before wiping at her mouth with her hand. Truthfully, it didn't impress Aera as much as she insinuated it did to the girl, but she had to admit that she did not expect the small girl to be able to defend herself.

    App:

    Name: Xaya Karatai
    Age: 20
Personality: CLumsy, She worries about people a lot, Brave, Fearless to most things, Incredibly scared of spiders, She really can't get angry, She is either happy, Rarely scared, or sad.
Abilities: She is intelligent and agile, What she lacks in strength she makes up for in agility and smarts.
    District coming from: Shingasina
    Squad Training For: Recon
Appearance: ((Okay so I know that they get the jump gear and stuff, so this is her without all of that.))

Backstory(Optional if you want it to be found out in the RP): Xaya was an innocent little teenage girl, who was devestated when the collosal titan had attacked her district, Her parents were killed during evacuation, she was allowed onto the ship to the next district over, and her parents were not.
After this devestation to her mental capabilty, she realized that the only way to avenge the death of her parents were to kill every titan that she could until she died, With this promise, she was motivated, and became fearless during the training for recon.
    Suggestions?: Me

((Not quite sure if there such thing as an "innocent, little teenage girl," but accepted. Feel free to post whenever. Right now, all the new recruits are eating in the mess hall. I believe there are only two tables that already have people sitting there (unless you want to sit alone). If I'm not mistaken, the first one has Lexiuno's character and my character, and the other one has everyone else. Also, if you're curious, the food is a bland potato soup and slightly burned bread.))

"Huh," Aera replied, not quite sure what to say. It'd be quite a coincidence if the two had known each other in the past, but Lilabel did look very familiar. It even seemed as if Aera had heard that name before.

"Are you also from Shiganshina?" She asked bluntly. If so, it wouldn't be too unlikely for the two to have met previously. While waiting for the answer, she consumed the piece of bread she had been soaking in her soup while she was talking.

Aera stopped eating for a moment and stared at the girl.

"Yeah," she began, "how'd you know that?" She took another look at Lilabel. The more she looked at her, the more familiar she seemed, but the less Aera could remember who she was. She knew this girl, but she could not remember, and it was irritating her more than ever.

Aera looked up to find a stuttering girl with pale, practically white, features requesting to sit with her. It was a bit odd she hadn't noticed her before-she certainly wasn't the kind of person you could easily overlook. Perhaps the girl was standing behind Aera when everyone was lined up, and that is why.

There was a strange familiarity to the girl, and Aera couldn't quite figure out what it was. If she had known the girl or someone like her, she would be able to recall it, right?

However, as she found no reason not to, Aera allowed the girl to sit by saying a simple, "Sure."

Aera ripped a piece of bread, but was a bit disappointed to find no butter. She had already tasted the soup, only to find it very bland, and there was no salt on the table. Of course not. They wouldn't simply give away something so valuable. When she tasted the bread, it was tough and the crust was slightly burnt. She was looking forward to when the people in charge would let Aera into the kitchen.

"I'm Aera," she told the girl before dipping the rest of the piece of bread she just recently tore off into the soup and tossing it into her mouth.
