    That's a bit complicated. I'd rather there be some form of entrance portal (in some sense) that the player could make/activate.


    I thought it more over: Here's a less-complicated suggestion. The whole "Ley Lines" thing can be treated as lore.



    MP Entry Suggestion, Take 2:



    Players could enter the MP using a right-click item called a "Radiance Tap." It's intended to work similarly to the original Goddess Gems, having this charge count that would increase until it's full. The rate of how fast it would charge would be affected by your current location. A Dousing Rod could be crafted and used to find the locations where the energy rate is strongest, and the energy locations could be simply generated randomly, similar to biomes but contained within single block or a small box. Once the Tap is fully charged, right-clicking could drain the Tap and send you into the MP.



    I thought you'd maybe like the idea of not building a portal to enter the MP. In retrospect, The idea is simply waiting for the Tap to charge up until it's ready. Obtaining the Tap could be easy in order to compensate for the challenge that the MP presents.

    How to enter the mirror world, huh? Here's my idea:



    You could introduce the concept of Dousing and Ley Lines, in order to find where these invisible streams of energy that run throughout the land are most concentrated. Then, you could find a way for Players to exploit that energy and create an incursion that sends you into the M.P. If focal points don't cut it, then intersections will do just nicely. These energy points could be one-time, or have a cooldown.

It brings back memories of that one mod where your inventory was separate between this one dimension and all the others.     The big bad uses a Tau blade but I don't know if every Mirrored Plain mob will as well.

    The Big Bad, huh? Is that who I think it is?

    I've never gotten the chance to fight him before. (Assuming there WAS a chance before. I am not too familiar with your modding history and the accompanying lore.)

    I'm thoroughly intrigued by the 5x5 Crafting Grid. It's making me wonder.

    Is it safe to assume that the Radiance Blades will also be returning? Of all your past works, that has to be the most intriguing.



    Not that I want everything to come back all at once. Too much too fast is no good.

    I'm actually surprised that I got such an informative reaction. I was 95/99-way convinced that I really would be with the dust-bunnies.

    Anyways, the vibe I've always gotten from your works is that you're conflicted between being simple, and being realistic. What these two approaches to creative modding have in common are would be the fact that they both deviate from the typical Minecraft Experience. They're both good attributes to have, and to your credit, you've made it the foundation of your work.

    My conclusion is that you've struggled against this internal balance, and came out of it worn out. You've either focused too much on being simple, or being too realistic. Two ends of a spectrum. When that happens, you would then follow up with an attempt to compensate for this, which resulted in you being overloaded with additions to make. This, on top of having most of your time already reserved for other priorities in your life, dealt a severe hammerblow to your morale. Assuming that this loss of balance and morale is what's happened, my advice would be to start over from scratch, like you said. I think you should go back to the basics, and start small. Stick mainly to what you can make on the Crafting Grid to keep it simple, and don't use any other methods of crafting other than what's already in the game. Also, you could make a diagram of changes so that you can keep what's simple and realistic within equilibrium.
