Notch must be kicking himself now jeb wants to turn the game into an adventure game because as he stated he doesnt like the idea of the game anyway. Im sure notch remembers the game he sold to millions was a sandbox and not jebs childish excuse to rip notches costomers off by breaking the game. I know that hes only just getting started, but that doesnt mean its not gonna get worse.
Another thing to note, the farming changes will meen servers will have big problems because worlds will need to be alot bigger for the same amount of people so big servers will have to upgrade. automation make sure everyone on the server has access to resorces.
and. people that work wont be able to build much because the game is based of working fields and digging.
Notch please please save your game from this overpowered developer. ive allways been fond of the team but seems there is a saboteur.
.
People are still mad Jeb is in control instead of Notch? He handed control to Jeb. I don't know why anyone would think he didn't trust Jeb and his vision of the game.
Under Jeb's watch we've had tons of new content and regular, weekly updates. Notch went back on his own statements plenty of times from Minecrafts conception, because that's how ideas grow. It was moving in a more adventure-focused direction long before he handed over control.
Minecraft never catered to one specific type of player (the sandbox player). There are players who just enjoy exploring, or just farming, or just redstone engineering, or just pvp. There's nothing that's been added to the game that makes "sandbox" play impossible. And if you truly think there is, there's always an older version of the game.

That seems pretty unlikely, at least outside of mega taigas, since it would mean any naturally occuring forests would slowly turn their grass into podzil.
Besides freezing water has there been any biome-specific block interaction?

Growing in the ground, I would assume?
Your jungle will have to be generated after the snapshot, though. I eventually got bored of killing zombie after zombie so I just deleted my village chunk and let it regenerate.

Hey guys, just thought you'd appreciate the newest comic from Nerd Rage! The version here is reduced because I was worried about large images breaking the forum, but you can see the full size version and more on the website.

Realistically?
Probably just more work on the new server style. What we got this week was pretty rough. it only makes sense that that would be the focus.

I've also noticed the status bar at the bottom of explorer windows will flash, like the window is refreshing.

When I run the server on my machine, it interferes with the drop down list of files in the open/save dialog boxes. The list will momentarily drop down, then retract.
I guess I should also add, I'm on Windows XP. I've run the server in various versions, but even on the most recent snapshot it still does this.
Has anyone else encountered this? Any recommended fixes?
