    For any fellow modder looking at this and thinking, "Nah this is impossible!" look at the mod Avaritia (https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/avaritia-1-10).

    Explanation on why this is the case:
    The gist of the mod's most powerful armor is... Nothing can kill you as long as you have the infinity armor on. Nothing at all. I believe it does this by doing a @SubscribeEvent on an entity death event or player death event. It checks if they are wearing the full set, and if so the event is canceled or player health is set to full. It also does the same thing for damage, preventing the damage from being dealt.

    For someone modding this:
    You'll need to use a capability provider on the player to give them the immortality tag, and do some checks when the sword to kill them hits them and then check if they are surrounded by the block of your choice using their block position and a level data accessor. If so, remove their immortality tag and fire the death event. If they don't have an immortality tag when the player death event is fired, do nothing. If they do, cancel the event however possible.

    Sounds like you want to make a game. But take the mod "OreSpawn" becoming a game called "danger zone" as the counter argument that it can be a Minecraft mod.
    But that being said, Is it a custom map/world and not a randomly generated thing? If so, maybe you are looking for a gun mod/NPC mix like a custom NPC mod and guns mod and some realism mods along with a custom world type in the world creation menu using a world creation menu changing mod (Would allow you to specify a map that is forced to generate instead of the vanilla one when the game starts) that would be filled with custom NPC's that drive the story

    So are you saying you want to mine actual IRL cryptocurrency using minecraft as an interface? Seems interesting, but might be hard to intergrate if so. Keep in mind I know nothing about cyrpto mining programs. If it isn't IRL currency, what would the currency be used for?

    The issue is it would have to be coded from scratch. Someeeeoneeee (the author of the mod) didn't add source code :(

    Wish Granted. Here is your mod. It is still being approved by Curse Forge: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/more-zombie-types-mod
    This adds everything you asked for except for fire zombies dropping nether plants (I forgot about that) and adding natural spawns (I put the code in but it doesn't wanna run or something idk).
    I got this done in ~4-5 hrs.
    Also, I am adding source code to the page, so if someone is getting into coding, this is a start to learning about it! ^_^

    PS. I won't be updating this most likely... (if a push request is made to the github I will add it to the mod. If it is one for a new version I will compile it for that new version and publish it while giving proper credit)

    Well... yes... no sound so far I have seen
    But look at modpacks like SkyFactory4 and other modpacks from the Feed The Beast Team, they have Gifs in the bottom right like a penguin that's dancing with a coffee cup, or a forge hammer hitting an anvil, so gifs are completely possible and examples of it in action exist already

    Now the sound will be a completely different story. I made a few mods for minecraft, and know that the sound would have be loaded in preinit events before the game menu is loaded. I have not ever seen a loading screen with sound, which might be due to an inability to load sounds before the game has launched. This can be easily due to the fact that the sound engine doesn't initialize until the game has loaded. Don't take my word for it, but instead look at the minecraft console on one side of your screen and look at the game loading on the other. There is a message that appears in the console (Console can be enabled in launch settings) when the sound engine starts. I remember it starting when the game loads and shows the buttons.

    This means that possibly only way to play a sound while the game is loading is to somehow force minecraft to play a sound using some kind of hacky bypass using normal java functions while the game is loading, and I'm not sure if forge+minecraft will allow that.

    I'm not saying it's impossible for sure, I'm saying it will be very difficult to play the sound if it happens to be possible at all
