    1. When mounted on head, the parabuzzy shouldn't be able to be hit by you. (I can't tell you how many times I've accidentally hit Jerold and all the other Buzzies swarmed and killed me.)
    2. Maybe make Shy guy as rare as the red spike parabuzzy and when you see him, he does that quick double jump in place and runs off how he does in most of the games they're in.


    1) Yeah, I was planning for the 1.4 update to prevent you from hurting them while mounted on your head but I couldn't find out how! If anyone knows, I'd appreciate the help.
    Here's an example of what I was trying to do:

    I will say that they're a bit tall (even for Shy Guys) would have expected the space between their mask and belt to be tiny, and their belt and feet to be closer.


    I was looking at that as well. Thing is, I don't want them any smaller. I want them to seem like small, squishy humanoids. Not lil' balls and not just as small as Parabuzzies.

    I guess their shape will be more closer to these Shy Guys:

    Oh man, just did a test, and yeah wild ones don't despawn. I'll look into this.

    And thanks for the comments about Shy Guys.

    I fixed the arms a bit, so It's not just pointed stubs. This'll probably be some sort of rare trader mob. Shy Guys are almost like Jawas in a sense. Lil' scavengers!

    Alright guys, here's a lil' update..

    I was working on a Goomba mob, but decided not to. I just couldn't get a nice looking model no matter how hard I tried. Just any ol' model won't do.

    I didn't really want to work on them anyway. When I make creatures, I have to have "feel" for them, as crazy as that may sound, otherwise it comes out crappy. So!.. Goombas are out of the picture. Probably Koopas/Bros. too. Models are far too difficult to make with just the cubes Minecraft provides, and I'm trying to stay as vanilla as possible, so yeah..

    Now HectorJ13's suggestions, Pokey, that I like! Too bad I don't know enough to get the animation I want for it, haha..

    This mod looks amazing

    And it's 8bit, so that means you may add non nintendo characters?

    It's "8Bit's" as in possessive since it's my name. I'm don't know why people keep calling them 8Bit Mobs, haha..

    But yeah, I'm mostly a Nintendo fan so I'm definitely going to lean towards those characters, unless I see something else I like.

    And... v1.3 is up!

    This update includes something I always wanted since I first made Parabuzzies: Variety! I wanted rare sub-species of them!

    I'm currently too dead and lazy to post screenshots. If you find them, including that rare Spiky Red Parabuzzy, be sure to post some screenshots!

    Here is the change log:
    v1.3
    =====
    - Added rare Parabuzzies! Additions are: Red, Spike, and Red Spike Parabuzzy.
    - You can now heal tamed Parabuzzies, which shows heartFX, with any food for 2 hearts.
    - At max health, Parabuzzies won't show a heartFX.
    - Parabuzzies now have a 1/2 chance of dropping Parabuzzy's Shell.
    - Any creature close to the center of a Bob-omb's blast now catches fire.
    - Decreased collision box on Parabuzzies.

    I'm not sure why the Parabuzzies are attacking you randomly. Anyone else having this problem? Also, here's a tip for you: Bob-ombs don't attack Parabuzzies. :RFlower:

    Yep, walking bomb-bots from Sonic 1. One thing I would sorta like to see is the bob-ombs do some sort of swelling like the creeper. Right now I find it odd they just blow up without any sound when they play sounds in the mario games. but anyways, good work. :biggrin.gif:

    I also got bob-ombs to work. I actually haven't unleashed my army of 8 bob-ombs and 20 parabuzzies on anything......yet. >:biggrin.gif:

    EDIT: I just realized I have so many non-depspawning parabuzzies that no other hostile mobs can spawn. O_o'


    EDIT 2: OK.....this is good, but weird. Whenever I let a hostile parabuzzy into my house he becomes friendly again, but he doesn't follow me. He also won't become hostile again, even if i attack him, in my house. This will make killing all of them off easier, but what the hell...?

    EDIT 3: It took me a while, but i finally killed em all off. I also made quite alot of bob-ombs, but do they grief the crap out of things? Like, are the explosions like creepers, where they damage the world or are they grief-proof?


    Bugs? Hmm... You have to be more specific. By "hostile" do you mean wild and not tame? And what do you mean if you let it into your house? After he comes in the door, he becomes calm? Tamed Parabuzzies don't fight back, unless you attack another one.
