    Right. If I do Chain Chomps, they wouldn't be crafted.

    Also, since I've been pretty busy lately, if someone wants to create a proper video for Parabuzzies then I just may add it to the OP.

    If you notice, I try to keep my videos short and sweet. Showing all the features available for the mob, without wasting too much time like trying to find one, talking, messing up, etc.

    The Chain Chomps are a possibility.. We just need to come up with some goods and bads about them to not make them over/underpowered.

    As for them being connected to a block/post, I'm actually not sure about how to create an actual chain-like effect in coding. The way I was thinking was they'd be set to "follow" the block/post, meaning go back to it, if they are a certain distance away, say 3 blocks or so? This would sort of make them attached to it. If there's no instance of said block, they could be set to run amok and basically runaway.

    I do agree I can't make millions of non-despawning mobs, especially for Chomps. People have mentioned that that prevents other creatures from spawning. I have to see if there's a way around that.

    Things I can control are whether the Chomps would aggro mobs or not. I can make them any alignment, so-to-speak. It's possible to make them only search for creatures within its reach to attack, making them short-sighted. Just throwing out ideas.

    Also, I've got a nice lil' update ready once MCP updates as well. Many fixes/tweaks for Parabuzzies and Bob-ombs (No Shy Guys yet..), So as soon as that's ready I can release it.

    You don't want players to be overly concerned with where their tameables are. I'm used to my wolves being able to follow me no matter what so I never look back to see if they're there, but with guinea pigs I do. I have to walk slowly and that's real irritating. In fact I don't even use them to be honest because of it.

    Tamed Parabuzzies not supposed to be despawning. It's a bug that should be fixed on my next release. Are Bob-ombs despawning as well, for sure?


    As for the teleporting, I've changed Bob-ombs so that right-clicking them without anything in your hand transforms them back into item form. This'll make transportation of them easy. I could see adding teleportation for Parabuzzies though. Maybe right clicking a tamed Parabuzzy with an empty hand toggles whether they follow/teleport to you or they wander around aimlessly?

I suggest this because players can time when they put Podoboos into lava surrounding their homes and make synchronized waves of Podoboos jumping up out of the lava. I see Podoboo vids in the future with music being played to them jumping in sync.

    I was imagining Podoboos to be just some floating fire orbs that appear from the lava and slowly move towards you, but your idea is much more in-depth and interesting. I could indeed do the hopping animation pretty easily. It may be difficult, but probably setting the jumping to be in sync as well. Awesome ideas man. :smile.gif:

    I'm liking the Chain Chomp idea. I could add a craftable metal post or special wooden block (and MAYBE chain, could be difficult) to keep him in one place, otherwise he runs amok! His model (and behavior) would be pretty easy I think. Maybe they're naturally wild, possibly spawning underground near lava, but once you "beat" them into submission they become tamable in a sense?

    Podoboo would also be a pretty easy mob. His model would basically be just eyes. As for the body, I could just put the flame effect of a torch, but increase its scale. Then just make its spawn block lava.

    To be honest I'm tempted to start working on them now just because they sound so simple but awesome, haha..

    Thanks. Shy Guys are on the way! But I can't release until MCP updates and until I'm satisfied with their development.

    I have a lot of the basics down I wanted for them. Now it's time to work on some of the more advanced stuff.

    Even though I wanted Bob-ombs to be dangerous to everyone around them, you do make a valid point. It's no fun if you're ambushed and everyone dies, haha.. I'll consider implementing something to prevent that.

    I've already got a small update ready for when MCP updates as well. Things like not hurting Parabuzzies on your head and Bob-ombs having a small countdown time when attacking. They change to a red texture too.

    In the mean time, I'd like to hear some ideas about Shy Guys!

And when under attack, they randomly drop a Bob-omb that targets you, to prevent players attacking? Since they aren't really animals that you're supposed to hunt down.

    Ideas are welcome.

    Yes to the possibility of getting a mask. Maybe as a super rare trade item. Maybe even rarely when killed, but it'd be hard to kill them, as they are sneaky, dangerous devils! Not the best HP though.
